Following potential 2014 draftees

there is no way in hell that i would trade kanter or favors plus Hayward for Embiid.

Giving up Hayward would accomplish 2 things:

1. Makes sure we don't have to match a ridiculous offer in the free agency

2. If he's traded at the trade deadline, it ensures us a very bad finish to the season. (i.e., worst or 2nd to worst record)

I agree that trading Hayward is an option, but not with that trade. Hayward could get embiid by himself IMHO.

If it were to the Suns then I could see it. They have 4 first rounders this year. Time to find a trade that they like and scoop up dem draft picks.

No you wouldn't

Pretty sure I would. Also apart from those 3's that luckily were falling in that game, he does a lot of "posting up" in the paint. Sure he's able to abuse smaller PGs in college, but I question whether that would translate into the NBA. I also don't like the fact that your PG is posting up when he should be running the team, making sure the ball swings/flows, making sure guys get shots.

I've stuck my head out in the past and supported guys like MCW who I thought would be great in the NBA (and he's showing that right now). But I just don't think Smart's skill set and the way he plays will translate...

Sorry but you've pimped everyone available. I'd only tip my hats if someone who you pimped harder than others exploded ;)
For the PG's shouldn't post up...
Andre Miller is a pretty good passer. Guess where he's at his best.

So I went to the Duke Arizona game @ MSG the other night and got to see Parker and Gordon in person.

I've gotta say... Parker is the most sure thing I've seen in a long time... He didn't play incredible in that game, but he is the real deal... He might have a learning curve of a year or so, but barring injury he will be on multiple all star teams...

I would say the most surprising aspect of his game is his size... He was the biggest guy on the floor the entire night (he was dukes 5 man during most of the game). And may I say, he is probably bigger and taller than Karl Malone was coming out of college... If he's a SF coming into the nba he will probably be the biggest SF in the league (except maybe Lebron), while having more speed then most of them.

He is the prize of this lottery and we should trade any combination of picks and players to acquire him

Something Smart isn't very good at ...

Boston
Phoenix
Atlanta
Chicago
Milwaukee

All those teams would be willing to part with their '14 first round picks for Hayward??? Chicago and Atlanta may be, if they ended up making the playoffs.

But Phoenix, Boston and MIL? No chance.
