Whaaaaaa? You wouldn't do that. Do you know who our gm is? He is Bawse Dog.
Why in the **** would the Wizards trade Beal for Kanter? lol

I like him, I don't get the hate. I'd be down. Prolly doesn't help our outside shooting much though.

When i met spycam in real life, i immediately compared him to brad pitt
I've met spy too. I wouldn't say Brad Pitt, I'd say Matthew Mcconaughey.

Agree.
The problem I see with Hayward right now is the Jazz don't need a playmaker - that role should go to the PG. I guess if you want to switch things around, then by all means have a poor-shooting SG be the point, but you better have a Fisher-like PG (in his prime) who can hit open shots. And so far, Trey has not shown that ability.
Hayward is generally out of control on his drives. And by no stretch of the imagination is he Kirilenko-like on defense, despite showing he has become about as accurate as Andrei on the offensive side of the ball. I've been a HUGE Hayward apologist for quite some time. But the Jazz are now facing a franchise-defining moment. Give Gordon a contract in the $8M-$12M range (whatever it shakes out as) and the Jazz have defined him as a top-3 or 4 player on the team. Veteran SG's and SF's who connect at 40% are a dime a dozen. There are 44 in the league right now shooting at a better clip - and some for a helluva lot cheaper.
Intangibles? Puhleeze. That word is kind of like saying "he plays hard." Burks has just as many "intangibles." Alec drives and draws the defense. Hayward drives and draws giggles the way the ball is exposed.
Count me in with the crowd that thinks the proper move at this point is a sign-and-trade. Let Alec be the starting SG and bring in a free agent or draft pick as the starting SF. Hayward has shown terrible inconsistency despite playing 30+ mins season after season. Rather than improving, his shooting is on the decline. Perhaps this indicates a bigger problem in terms of his off-season work ethic. Too many video games? Not enough dedication to improving his game?
Unless teams arent sure if he is coming over I dont see him lasting past 12. Randle and Saric play the same position so not sure whey we would draft both. I dont think Saric could guard 3s in the NBA.
At first I was like how did the topic get to Hayward, then I realized we had been saying "Gordon" and just started to lol.
it blows my mind to see so many Stauskas lovers in this thread mainly because last year most didnt think Tim Hardaway Jr. was worth a 1st round pick..
he and Stauskas are very similarly built. 6'5 w/o shoes, 200lbs, 6'7" wingspan, 38" vertical (reportedly for stauskas), and very similar #'s(Stauskas' %'s are slightly better) at Michigan..
Whats going to prevent Stauskas from being the next Sergey Karasev? i dont get the lottery hype
Honestly, I've hardly seen any games.
He's dunked a couple times, not much though. Just not part of his game, he's not what one would consider an explosive athlete.
I wouldn't say his defense is horrible, but it's definitely not good. He gets exposed more than he should because Duke has no low-post defender to clean up his mistakes, but he reaches too much and doesn't use his feet enough. He has the tools to be an average to slightly above average defender in the NBA, but he'd have to work his *** off.
Doesn't remind me of Hayward at all. Better shooter, worse defender, worse ball handler, doesn't create as well...definitely a better scoring game though. Dude is smooth, he makes it look easy on offense. He benefits from playing with Jabari, but he's been shooting lights out and has good size and great offensive moves.
Another Duke player, Sheed Sulaimon has been showing some really good potential as a combo guard...he's a bit undersized as a 2-guard, but he has been showing some great improvement as a PG in recent games. Hasn't played the 1 spot all year, just the last couple games.
11.6 PPG and 4.7 APG in his last 7 games, which I know aren't eye popping numbers, but trust me when I say he's been playing really, really well as of late. He's been shooting 49% from 3 this year, which is impressive considering he started the year off in a shooting slump. Good defender, good intangibles. He's worth a shot late in the first of this years draft or next year.
I think stuckey is a tweener who will never be a good starter.
Most i would pay him is mid level exception
I've been leaning Randall the last week or so as well. Seems like a perfect fit next to favors. Not a fan of luol but definitely down with trading kanter to grab a starter caliber wing. Who fits this mold and is attainable besides loul?
Evan turner?
Perhaps I misunderstood what you said...but did you really compare Rodney Hood to PJ Tucker? Cause that's just terrible. Especially defensively. Now when I say that I've hardly seen Hood play, what I mean is that I haven't seen every single game like I usually do. I've seen him enough to formulate a solid opinion on him, and his defense is average.
PJ Tucker's body is average as well. What makes his defense good is practice, commitment, taking pride in shutting guys down. That's some scouting report on Hood I read.

I remember watching Tucker play quite a bit in college. He was much more athletic than Hood, and played with a lot more aggressiveness. Perhaps instead of reading scouting reports you should attempt to watch a game or two.
Tucker and Hood are nothing alike. Tucker is a short wide body power player who uses his strength to muscle guys - and in college scored most of points on post ups and in the paint and was an excellent rebounder. Hood is rail thin wing who is a long distance shooter first, second and third, then a finisher either in a half court or transition offense.
In three years at Texas, Tucker attempted 4 three pointers. In less that a season at Duke, Hood has taken 111 threes.
