Following potential 2014 draftees

I don't know bro, take AK - for all the positives that he brings to the table, I cringe every time he shoots.

Now, IF he has Blake's potential offensively in the paint, then that's another story all together.

Think it's funny how much people harp about wanting to have a better defensive team, but when it comes time to add an elite defensive talent people are shy.

Not advocating taking this guy over Parker/Embiid/Wiggins, but after those 3 he has the most potential to be a game changer.

The Jazz have stated repeatedly that they do not want to develop a culture of losing. Drafting a project, like Gordon, would be exactly the opposite of what the Jazz have stated their objective to be. We don't need another player to take 3-4 years to find out whether he's a bust or not. While I have no doubt another year or two would do Gordon wonders, I really have serious concerns over his position and FT shooting. It is extremely rare for a player to go from 41 percent to 70-80 percent.

short sighted much? gordon immediately improves our D from day 1. with his athletic ability and desire to play D, he would instantly become our defensive specialist. culture of winning starts with defense, not offense.

I, for one, am not "shy." I want a two-way player as a prize for enduring a season of donkey ****.

Exum says hi. Also, Gobert is an elite defensive talent.

perhaps people are hoping that being a better defensive team will come from the new coach next year rather than a player.

i wouldn't go that far. problem with gorbert is that he is too slow, too weak, and he can't play more than 35 min. his size and length is his weapon. and that's not good enough. stamina is critical for guys like gorbert. that's why you see so many back up 7ft+ guys come in and make an impact for first 4-5 min in the 2nd qtr and never look the same in the 2nd half. if you increase his minute, he won't last long in this league. there is a reason why he isn't playing consistent minutes.

he is talented no doubt(size is a talent), but i've seen too many Goberts out there who just doesn't pan out. in order for him to be a consistent starter in this league, he needs to get stronger, work on his endurance, and have a respectable offense. not gonna lie. it's gonna be a tough road for him especially when the small ball is rampant in today's league.
