it's hard to evaluate exum. it almost seems like every damn tape on him has no defense or against inferior talents. Bron or Dwight or any other top athlete from high school were different because they just stood out physically. bron looked like a man when he was sophomore in high school. to me this is important when you don't have much game tape.
exum looks talented for sure, but you can't say he is once in a generation type of talent. i wonder how lavine would look like if he was from overseas against inferior athletes. and this is the only reason i can't put him in my top 5.
he sure looks talented. he sure looks like he can be tmac minime with his length, athleticism, and playmaking ability. and tmac didn't even display this kinda ability until later on his career. it's promising sign. can he be like tmac? point forward in the future? i would say he can be if he is legit 6ft 6 with serious length. make him the next tmac would be easier than making him the PG. but if he comes in short at 6ft 4 1/2 barefoot then you have to make him 2 and maybe build him up as true combo.
i'm hoping he comes in tall with legit length so he can play 3. he is young, so maybe he can grow an inch or two. i would not hesitate to draft him if puts up gawdy predraft numbers at #7. if he comes in short at 6ft 4 ish, then i would pass. i would rather gamble on gordon to be honest.
