You know I don't troll in this thread, the most holy of all threads.
I think Vonleh should be able to do most of the things Harrison Barnes does out on the perimeter, but Vonleh is bigger and longer, with more inside game and with a legit defensive presence. The question is how quick and explosive he is. If he develops his offensive repertoire, he *might* have some of the qualities of a Chris Bosh or Lamarcus Aldridge. If he shows decent athleticism at the combine and in workouts, he'll show he's got upside. He doesn't look like a first-option offensive player, but maybe he could become one. Starting at about #5 in this draft, you have to give him a look although he's not a sure thing. I think he's the Lamar Odom or Terrence Jones of this draft.
He seems somewhere in the Harrison Barnes --> Rashard Lewis --> Chris Bosh spectrum.
As for Saric, I don't know jack diddly dang-a-lang about him. He didn't look particularly quick or explosive, so I worry about his transition to the NBA. My guess is that Lindsey went to Europe to scout him. I think everyone's bracing themselves to end up with the 5th or 6th pick. Saric, Gordon and Smart are probably all in play.

I like Saric I think he gets drafted in the top 10.
But my biggest question is in part his size though. hes proven himself a PF in my book and without great strength, wingspan(6'10") or explosion i wonder about how well the physical aspect of his game translates.

I worry that Aaron Gordon might be a luxe version of Ronnie Brewer.
LOL... and here's a guy who call others stupid.
Most people hesitate to put Saric in the top 10, let alone top 5.

Or are you just going to go off of what others say?
Not great shoot, lack athleticism for the position, lack explosiveness, not a great defender....
He's not 'bad', he's just not top 5 in this draft.
I think both Saric and Vonleh are worth looking at for #5 or #6. Unless you believe in Smart being an impact player, I think you're looking at a combo-forward with upside---Gordon, Vonleh, Saric--or you're debating if Randle is in anyway an upgrade over Kanter as a PF due to his 'hunger.'
I think Saric's upside is limited, but he looks like a nice complementary player--can shoot and pass. I just think if he gets chased off the 3-pt. line his efficiency will drop pretty fast. I'm not sure he can really dig into the paint and score the ball. Whereas I think both Gordon and Vonleh will be able to score inside.

Personally, I'd give the nod to Vonleh unless Saric shows he's going to shoot the lights out. I just need to see if Vonleh has much quickness.

The sell on Vonleh is hes the only PF who figures to be big enough to guard BIG PF's like Dirk, LMA, Love, Davis, Duncan, Bosh and Monroe
hes already stronger than many of those guys at 18 years old and figures to have the strength to really bang with any PF's projecting forward, hes really built well for a big, with short legs, a low center of gravity and a strong backside. Noah fits alot of the classic things you look for like finishing with both hands, including hook shots, huge hands and a soft touch around the basket, hes very active and runs like a deer, very mobile
last season in the NBA there were only 4 qualified PF's who shot over 80% from the line, i think thats attainable for Noah in his first few years
Noah's legitimately a great kid, very motivated and a major workaholic, he finished 43% of his bachelors degree. top notch work ethic and its payed major dividends in the past few years, theres plenty of reason to believe hes just scratching the surface
48.5% from 3 isnt a fluke, its not the best gauge for how good of a shooter he is but its certainly enough to be optimistic

Agree with this. I think Vonleh has a real shot at going #5 in the draft.
