But why not get players who can do both?
I just think the clutch notion is a myth for the most part. If the are going to score in the game, they will likely score at the same rate at the end of the game. There is the rare guy like Kobe who will get to be a great closer as his career moves on, but he was horrendous in the clutch in his early years. Just look at those air balls he had against the jazz in the playoffs when we swept him and shaq.
