Following potential 2014 draftees

Smart is one of the few players who can create his own shot, create for others, AND defend at a high level.

#Marc #Is #Smart

He can create the shot, but doesn't make it until he fixes it :P

who has the highest chance at becoming a #1 offensive option of a team with the 5th pick?

I'd say Vonleh and Saric.
The issue I have with Randle is that even though it rhymes his nickname will never be Julius Handle. More like the 1 armed bandit. That would be instrumental for him to develop that.

With Vonleh I like that he's shown glimpses of ballhandling and shooting. He hasn't been given a big opportunity in Indiana which doesn't necessarily have something to do with his skillset but more his coach IMO. His body is very similar to Anthony Davis. He doesn't have his bodycontrol and mobility, but just his frame, long arms, size.

If his handles are for real I can see him do a lot of things that Aldridge does. Playing the pop game, fading out of the post, spinmoves to the basket, operating from the highpost, attacking the needle. Worst case he'd be Greg Monroe w/o passing but with shooting.

Saric is a scorer and playmaker. If he can continue to expand his shooting he'll be instant impact if he decides to come over this summer.

After New Year he doubled the number of attempted 3s and while his accuracy is still streaky(I don't really like the arc of his 3 pointers and release point) it hasn't gone down. Rather up actually.

How can a guy that plays ball everyday not make half his free-throws? It's one thing if you're 7-feet tall and the ball feels like holding a canteloupe, but otherwise...

Agreed on that. I don't really play or shoot much anymore. Maybe a few times a year, and yet I still manage at least 50%

Ouch, that's a burn. Aren't you like 60 years old or something? Aaron Gordon should be embarrassed.

Has anyone else noticed that

Dante Exum and
Dental Exam

look similar? I thought it was interesting.

Brehs if u see any articles on Noah Vonleh from 2010-2012, you will read about a 6'7" point forward that brings the ball up the court vs a press

His handle is advanced for a player of his size/age, as ive posted before his HS coach said hed pay the price of admission just to watch him work dribbling drills

“Wait ‘til the NBA guys get a real good look at him. Imagine him, running through those ball-handling drills for them. They’re going to be stunned.”

I dont care to make excuses for him as his body of work speaks for itself, but to kill him over aggressiveness is a bit of a headscratcher to me when his role was setting screens and rebounding (not creating offense), he had 7 games of 10FGA's or more, thats it.

when considering Noah in the NBA i think what has to have the most appeal is his potential to be one of the premier P+R and Pick and Pop guys, which i dont think would qualify him as a "#1 option" but itd be close, was Chris Bosh in Toronto a #1 guy? I think in the NBA you need an inside and outside scoring punch to be viable, Noah could definitely fill one of those rolls
