Lol. Lsu played UK three times and O'Bryant had one good game against them. In that one good game, how many points were scored against Randle?

Now I'm not saying Randle is some defensive savant, but his supposedly poor defense is overblown, and O'bryant isn't necessarily the best example to use if you do want to make a case for Randle being a poor defender.

His best attributes, to me, that would translate is his ability to take guys off the dribble and score, or draw a foul or draw an and-one. I've done enough video analyses on this and posted them here, so I won't do it again. Suffice to say I think he has elite quickness and tremendous size for the SF position in the NBA. He can back them down, drive pass them, if he can get that jump shot going - it won't even be fair.

honestly Julius was so bad in that LSU loss im probably overblowing it a bit. Still, the notion that he could shore up the Jazz defense seems like something a Jazzfanzer would post after smoking a bad batch of crack, I didnt expect that from DX.

Randle could totally ankle break anyone. He'd simply charge into them and step on their ankles while they try to move away. Ankle broken. Case solved!

I'm on the randle as a three bandwagon. Fully. God forbid we lose out on Parker or wiggins, but i believe that randle just might be able to come in as that big 3 like melo and Parker and dominate inside and out.

I'm on the Randle as a four bandwagon, but I'm not sure position matters much in his case. He's just a basketball player and is an alpha dog who dominates guys.

Well if the other option is named Enes Kanter, maybe Julius looks like DPOY.

But more than likely we won't be able to keep Favors, Kanter and Gobert. You can pay two bigs, but not three. If Gobert develops just a little, he'll get a big deal from someone...just look at some of the backups that have signed elsewhere. Many times there's some buyer remorse afterwards, but someone always takes a chance.

I don't really count Tomic; I doubt he comes over. Instead of just wasting the 2nd round picks with guys that may not make the team, I think Lindsey ought to use every single one on a Euro. If only 1 or 2 panned out down the road, that would be fantastic.

I prefer to cross that bridge when we get there. Right now, our glaring needs are at the wing and pg, and contrary to conventional thought, options for those positions haven't been as readily available in recent drafts. Looking forward, next years draft is full of top tier big men as well, but there's nothing that excites me in way of wings, and only one pg, kind of (Mudiey). I'd be content if the Jazz drafted a legit measuring sf w/ all three of our picks this year. That's how good I think the talent pool is for it this year coupled with our own need.

First pick has possibilities of Wiggins, Parker, and Gordon who could all play sf. Second pick could have Hood, Early, and the third pick could have Inglis. In todays league, you need a kick *** SF. We've had sg's like Hayward man the position, and under achieving, old, or unhealthy vets like RJ and Marvin in recent years. The only decent wing not past their prime that we have a shot at in FA is Trevor Ariza, and honestly, his uptick in play came in a contract year, which is a red flag.

If his rebounding translates as you've said against PF's and C's, think about what he could do from the SF position.


The Favors/Kanter/Randle team would form one of the best rebounding trio in the league.

It certainly translated for Paul Millsap, who was undersized. Rebounding is as much desire, positioning and anticipation as it is size. Just listen to a guy like Rodman speak about it. AS crazy as he was in all other areas, he made rebounding a science.
