Following potential 2014 draftees

so then using common sense... Jeff Green is a #1 option

Im pretty sure thats not what Dalamon was talking about when he first asked the question, BUT if being on a bad team, taking volume shots and leading your team in scoring qualifies you as a #1 option, then i think theres a bit more hope to find that player in this draft class

Using common sense, Ryan Anderson was close to a #1 option last year for the Hornets (legit #1 after the Eric Gordon injury) Doug McDermott has the type of skillset that in the right situation (maybe Detroit or Philly) could be able to produce similarly

I think being a number one option means being used as the source of offense more than the other people on the team.

Just ask if players are good or not.

so not only a leading scorer, but the guy who players on the team want with the ball when the clock is running out. fair enough, Bradley Beal qualifies as a #1 guy then.

on the Beal/LaVine comparison i offer this stat;

of 144 Qualified players Bradley Beal was 139th in 2pt shooting % (.426), only infront of Harrison Barnes, Kemba Walker, Trey Burke, Brandon Jennings and Ricky Rubio

obviously Beal is a bit heavier, a better rebounder and is more polished, but for all the concern about Zach finishing at the rim, there's guys considered 'Cant Miss' prospects with similar inefficiencies

Not sure how you get either one of those out of my explanation.

I'm just looking at it from a literal point of view to mess with you. I'm saying the guy who is the number one option is the guy who is used the most often as the source of offense for his team.

Clearly, this move was not worth it seeing as how I have to explain it so thoroughly.

I just dont think '#1 option' applies to every team and roster, im not sure i consider guys #1 options out of necessity, its more of a merit based thing, and should have alot to do with consistency.

for instance, Luol Deng played 23 games for the Bulls and D. Rose 10, was Carlos Boozer the #1 option for the bulls this year??? (12.3FGA's in under 29mins)

how can that be when he was on the bench for most of the 4th quarters in favor of Gibson.

I feel like the Wizards don't really have a number 1 option. They play like a team. They have a lot of plays and passes. Unlike the thunder who play a lot of isos for the number 1 option.

Nice job Jabari!

Lame, even if they are scaredy cats to do the testings they are also missing out on the interviews.

Nothing to see here. Happens year in and year out. They have nothing to gain at this point.
You go to the NBA for the money. Draft spot = cash. No reason to jeopardize a lock to go top 3.
