Smarts wingspan was just over 6' 9", which is great for a pg.

It's not great, it's elite. That's 1.5 inches longer than Westbook's wingspan.

The two current players, in terms of game and size/strength, I've thought Smart compared most to, are Wade and Oladipo. All three are big guards who can play both the point and the two. All three are very good defensively. All three struggle to shoot long distance. Neither VO or MS will match Wade in terms of the type of career he's had, but they are similar players.

It just happens Smart's elite length happens to compare with Oladipo and Wade who also have freakishly long arms. Wade is 6'4" with a 6'10" span and Oladipo is 6'4" with a 6'9" wingspan.

insider article that claims stauskas should be able to play some pg.

stauskas, joe Harris, McDermott ans Payne are all solid shooters.

McDermott has slimmed down and done ok the lateral drills that he might actually be able to guard a little. he will be a nightmare offensively. he hit 13 straight 3 pts in 32 seconds.

both stauskas and McDermott are shooting 85% from downtown in the drills.

Payne is going to be a special player. if he was a few years younger he would be top 5.

Yeah. Smart is much stronger than either, though. Smart will have a stronger body as a rookie than Wade has ever had.

When looking at Smart's physical profile, he may not be very tall, but you're looking at someone who truly does have elite length and strength.
