Following potential 2014 draftees

Lavine makes sense for a team looking at a multi-year tank or as the 2nd selection for teams with two lotto picks. He's just so raw, he won't be an impact guy next year. I'm not sold on him, I'd be surprised if he goes top 15.

You should be surprised if he gets out of the lottery.

I like Micic; last summer i mentioned id take him with the GSW pick. Players have moved ahead of him since then but he seems like a good fit as a backup. Theres an injury history thats probably minor, but worth mentioning.

Hes probably the best passer in the draft, he proved to be streaky 3pt shooter and his athleticism is meh, but in the 2nd round hes a pretty good gamble.

Thanks for the insight. All I know about him is from draft profiles which mentioned his elite passing, but concerns over speed and shooting. He's 1 year removed from an ACL which I suspect is one reason he could improve his quickness. 2nd round if he's still available. One of the mocks has SA taking him at 30. Sounds reasonable given their love of foreign PG's.

Just read an article that says the Celtics have zeroed in on A. Gordon. Which, of course, means they're hoping Utah will take him so they can draft Vonleh.

I somehow envisioned today looking at the draft slots that Sacramento might make some weird move like drafting Zach LaVine simply because they can. And then the next scary thing is that this little kid could use his 1% chance to become great next to Boogie and Rudy Gay.

I don't think Lavine is a better prospect than McLemore, whom they picked at #5 last year. I'm not seeing Lavine go to Sacto, but who knows?
