Following potential 2014 draftees

Understood. I just had a chance to catch up on this site and now realize my opinion doesn't match the majority here. Interesting.

I don't think it's that your opinion does not match the boards opinion. It's that it does not march the consensus of anyone in the world. Wiggins down to four, and exum at eight? Kinda confusing. In every nba circle, wiggins is a top two talent in this draft, and exum is at least top six.

Eh, I'm not going to disparage anyone for their opinions on this draft as long as they aren't being dip****s. And I don't believe you are.

I liked your take. Keeps posting.

See, I'm the opposite. I'd immediately dismiss anybody ordering the 2 for 99 cents tacos in Tucson as unworthy. That's like going to ChinaTown and hooking up with the Panda Express. There are five outstanding taco shops within a mile of that Jack in the Box that aren't made with a meat-like byproduct. Each one of those "tacos" shaves 2 and a half months off of your life.

If that is true I probably only have a few hours left to live. Whatever product is in those things, they are ****ing delicious.

I get it. I've somewhat purposefully (mostly because of time) have not read many "expert analysis." I'm going off of the 5-6 games of the top players that I've seen. In every game that I watched Wiggins he was very unimpressive. Passive, didn't look in control of his body, not confident, not a great shooter. It's hard for me to imagine his leap in to a dominant player in the NBA. With Exum. he just doesn't impress me in even his highlights. He's good at getting to the rim, but doesn't seem to be able to jump very high or maybe explosively, which is why I think he might get his shot blocked often in the NBA.

I do concede that the people who have watched these kids since high school probably know a lot more than I do, it's just interesting to me what they must be seeing and what I could be missing.

My current mock draft:

1. Cleveland - Embiid
2. Milwaukee - Parker
3. Philidelphia - Wiggins
4. Orlando - Smart
5. Utah - Exum
6. Boston - Gordon
7. LA - Vonleh
