Following potential 2014 draftees

Who said that it was a bad move?

no one did, but people are quick to throw away Alec, i say Trey is easier to replace.

Patty Mills isnt going to cost what some of these top PG's will, he has not shown the propensity to turn the ball over more in extended minutes, hes asked to shoot plenty for the spurs and he does it at a prolific rate.

for all the 'we need to swing for a homerun' garbage i read about the 5th pick, Id much prefer to swing for a Homerun by signing the dude who just torched the finals, hoping he shoots the lights out.

Patty will showcase his talents running a team for Australia at the FIBA's this summer too.

also its rumored Phil Jackson wants him as the PG of the Knicks, I like that endorsement. They are going to try and offer him their Mid-level exception.

I have no problem giving Patty alittle more than that, 19 mil over 3 years works,

yall just enjoy putting my posts under the microscope and picking at them.

thriller changes his tune from Patty Mills is eddie house, to hes better than Trey Burke, with Hantlers agreeing, in about 2 posts.

I do enjoy running laps around you fools when it actually comes to talking basketball, which is what this forum is here for.. right?... talking basketball?

The main idea I'm getting at is that I feel Patty Mill's best role is as an energy player coming off the bench.

Yes, he has good shooting percentages, but how much of that is because of the Spurs offense? It's similar to how the Jazz used to have quality role players under Jerry Sloan who would get larger contracts from other teams, and promptly play worse. The system makes a difference.

Do I think Mills is bad? Not at all. Do I think he's the starting PG on a quality team? Not at all.

But yeah, keep on comparing the percentages of a player who got put in beneficial spots and was basically only asked to shoot, and a player who was asked to run an offense as a rookie. There's no difference there. Nope, not at all.

And it's funny you keep on bringing up Saric. Yes, I like him as a prospect. I don't believe that I advocated him with the 5th pick, but you can keep on saying that if you wish. I could bring up how you thought Alec Burks would be a great PG, or how Alex Len was a 97 out of 100 on your scale. Who cares though? We all miss on players and we all hit on some players. The only person who seems to give a **** is you.

So....DraftExpress still has Aaron Gordon at #10 in their mock draft.

They must not be fans. They put him behind Stauskas.

Aaron Gordon's being mocked low because of his college year. But if he had shot the ball strongly in workouts could rise to 5 with his age and athleticism. The Jazz probably called him back to see if he could replicate his first shooting performance with them.

I brought up in 2012, that Alec Burks this past season would be like the Linsanity year and can handle some PG duties, which was fairly close, he brought up the ball a bunch.

Alex Len was in consideration for #1 overall last year, he has true size and post moves, a mid-range jumper and hes young, in that draft he still stands out as a prospect.

Do i need to outline the fact that Centers take longer to develop in the NBA than any other position for you?

So you absolve the differences in shooting percentages because of role?

Trey is forgiven, and Patty is expected to shoot outstanding %'s... that seems fair.

you dont think hes a starting quality PG, so be it.

Phil Jackson seems to think he is, what do you have to say about that? hes wrong? Popovic speaks about him glowingly aswell

“He’s a special guy. His energy has been important to us all year long. He’s a real significant reason why we got to the finals. Obviously he’s also played well in the finals but the energy, that team sense that he has, it has been infectious.”

Patty should **** up pretty bad this summer running the team for Australia i guess... right? hes a system player?

Sorry if it's already been posted, I must have missed it, but didn't anyone hear how the Cavs weren't happy with Jabari's workout?

They feel like he purposely dogged it because he doesn't want to be drafted by craptown.

Tony Parks and the other guy were pretty funny. They had a contest on the radio today for the worst things to do to tank a workout. lol. One of the things was call the coach by the wrong name.

I don't know if Jabari tried that one or not. I wouldn't blame him if he did. I have no clue who their coach is now. Is Mike Brown gonna try out a 3rd time? 3rd time's the charm, right?

They just hired Blatt. Could see how a young American player might not know who one of the best European coaches is. Doubt he'd do that. Makes me wonder if this isn't mis-information to justify picking Wiggins. It's not our fault, it's Jabari's.
