Following potential 2017 draftees...

cam oliver has some draymon green light to his game

Yup. He's not that kind of versatile and a key distinction i'd use for Draygoon is grizzled. There's certainly parallels tho, you're in the ballpark..

One major one is he plays with real nastiness, another is they're projected similarly in the draft..

Both have a major chip on their shoulder due to not being classically sized PF's. Oliver is also a superb shot-blocker at 6'8" he plays effectively taller than his height, and so does Draygoon. They're very similarly proportioned except Cam is way more shredded, Draymond was carrying a lot of body fat at the combine IIRC, just look at their shoulders/lats.

To me also just watching Cam Oliver this year it seemed like he was furious that he didn't get graded out higher and drafted last year..

I'll take Cam Olvier on my team anyday.. i'll just leave it at that.. The players I usually say that about usually do well...

DX came out with the John Collins video. Kind of seems like an Enes Kanter type with better feet/more bounce but less size.

Tony Bradley is the closest thing to Enes in this draft IMO. IDK if he's in for sure tho. Bradley's longer than Enes, has better feet, and surely a better head on his shoulders.

Anigbogu keeps rising up the board. He is up to #17 now.

Where is everyone who said Bam > Ike? It was like the whole board vs PG_AB and I.

It really wasn't that hard to see.

The thing about Bam was, and it was detailed on this board before it ever happened, he wasn't exactly that standard Coach Cal, crown jewel big.. He was stolen last minute away from the clutches of a Carolina school... thats probably why DS4 went to NC State too..

He wasn't Jarrett Allen...

and as the season progressed it was pretty obvious that he's not even Julius Randle...

Ike tho, is simply a whole different monster. There's a considerable age difference too and when u just look at them, Ike is much more "just scratching the surface". Bam does have considerable upside. He's a backup C tho right now I'd have to say.

DX listing Harry Giles as a pure C is a joke btw. Total mischaracterization.

So can I convince anyone that Utah should take Derrick White now that DX has him projected in the 30's? Super versatile, he's super high BBIQ and he's a legit NBA Athlete..

Awesome player..

Again, I'll take him on my team anyday. He's old but I'll cosign for him.. which doesn't happen often.. Last year I vouched for Brogdon. I vouched for Norman Powell too...

No way Colorado even plays .500 ball without him, with him they won 20-games.

In their breakdown video they're kind of wishy-washy about it. They say he has the feet and movement to guard 4s, and he has the length to guard 5s. On the other hand, they say he's got the frame for a 4, but the skillset of a 5. And they say he's probably going to have to play the 5 in today's NBA. Do you think that's wrong and that he's a pure 4? I haven't watched enough of him to be able to tell. I also don't quite see his huge upside. Or at least I think it's a big longshot that he reaches it.

What would you say his biggest upside is? Someone who can guard 1-5 and be an elite rebounder/finisher with a 17 foot jumper? What do you think his realistic upside is, very good rebounder who can defend the pick and roll and protect the rim in a pinch?

I think the whole thing was "We dont know if he will ever be HS mixtape athletic again because of the injuries". Giles is a lot like Favors in that regard. Yes, we know Favors is athletic enough to be a 4 when completely healthy, but the Favors we saw this year is a 5. Can he get back to his previous level? Time will tell.

Hypothetical- You're a GM of a team. You're on the clock in the second round. You're considering DJ Wilson, Jordan Bell, Jonah Bolden, Cameron Oliver and Kyle Kuzma who are all available. Who are you picking?

Right now, if it were me, I'd go Bolden, then Wilson, then Oliver, then Bell, but I don't know this Ute you guys speak of.
