Following potential 2017 draftees...

But look at the guys he's pimped like this in the past few years. Porter, Portis, Gordon, and I'm sure there's one or two I'm forgetting. Love him or hate him, Cy tends to be right more then not.

It's still the way that he does it. It is annoying

The difference this time is he isn't pimping a top-4 pick or someone who was drafted at 20. He's going all out on a second-round prospect.

? Ball is a perfect fit for the Lakers. Fox and Jackson are awful fits for the Lakers.

Lakers were 22nd in 3pt shooting last year. Fox or Jackson would only kill their floor spacing further. Ball provides elite level spot up shooting and Walton plays a similar style of basketball w/ the Lakers that UCLA ran with Lonzo. It's a match made in heaven and they would be dumb to pass up on him.

I think the shooting was problematic because of frontcourt issues and inexperience. I expect Russell and Ingram to improve in that area long term. Having Ball means having no player who can attack the basket off the dribble. I don't like this for offensive dynamic and the defense will be laughable like that.

I viewed him as a second rounder before the combine, and u can't deny that he's had a significant rise since he blew up the combine. Most sites have him going in the first round it seems.

Let's also not forget that after a year or two of Porter's career people were laughing at Cy, he held strong to his belief in Porter, now he's gotten the last laugh. Also don't forget that Portis was the 22end pick.

What all this means is we should at least consider anyone Cy pimps out. Doesn't mean Kuzma needs to be the guy u want. But u should take note and look into him more.

What sites have Kuzma going in the first-round?

DX and ESPN both have him in the 40's. The two most well-known and respected mocks.

Most well known site I know of is nbadraft.net. Others are ones I've googled into, and couldn't name them, but my point was that Cy isn't the only one that views him as a first rounder.

And I did state above that IMO Kuzma's game seems to fit the NBA more. I'm sure Cy sees that in him as well, also as u look at his shooting form, it looks good making him a candidate to improve. There's a lot of bigs that have come in not even having the reputation of being able to shoot threes that have developed the shot into a real threat.

There are two names in the sleeper department to watch – Utah’s Kyle Kuzma and South Carolina’s PJ Dozier. Both have the resume of a second-round selection and both very well could end up there, but there is a growing sense that Kuzma could be gone early in the second, meaning if a team really wants him they may have to reach up in the late first round to grab him.
