I could see us looking back on this draft years from now and Malik Monk very well should have been the #1 pick

He has the potential to shoot like Curry and guard him.

His shot is a huge concern.
His size/weight/strength will be just fine.. I have zero concerns there.

His midrange is good and he started last season hitting like 22 straight free throws so there's reason to have some measured optimism in his shot... but I wouldn't bet on it.

Locke was very open about his love for Lyles, but it was clear that if you went through the top 12 players in that draft that Lyles was not likely to go higher than 12. The Jazz also really liked Winslow, Johnson and Turner and were hoping that one of them would fall to them.

Exum wasn't going to fall further than 5 regardless of who was drafting. The Jazz were expecting to take Gordon and were pleasantly surprised when Exum was available. To say the Jazz liked Exum if he fell to them was a no-brainer.

The Jazz are probably debating Bell, Lessort and Bradley around #30 if they keep that pick. If they go with a guard there, it's more likely to be Hart than anyone else, imo.

I'm really curious to know how the Jazz see Ojeleye. Walt Perrin was saying he's too slow to guard 3s. If they really feel that way, they probably won't take him.
