What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

the stash target in that range is Kulboka. 6'9" and can shoot the lights out. Simanic, Jeanne and Kurucs too.

I figure if Mushidi declares this year he's trying to come over because he plays for Mega Leks.

Probably right. I also doubt that Mushidi is stupid enough to not wait 3 years to free himself from the rookie scale if he stays. But since player/agent and team really look each other in the eye over there they'd either sell him to a euro powerhouse for a ton of cash and have him play there for 3(But who knows who'd want that?) or just have the team pay the $600k buyout.

Bolden is just one of those players who seems like he could do more given his size and ability, he's a bit of an underperformer in my book til he proves otherwise.

Placing the bigs in the 20-50 range was by-far the most difficult part of throwing this mock together. It's a fluid situation. Bolden could easily fall out of the 1st IMO, so I detest this presumptuous "Duke is missing 3 lottery picks" spiel.

all I know is his FG% has gotta improve and so does his AST:TO ratio or he'll keep dropping and eventually disappear from the mock.

Honorable mention for the mock to;

James Blackmon Jr(Indiana) who will debut somewhere in the 35-50 range if he keeps playing as is.
Dedric Lawson(Memphis) who's got a shot to debut in the 30-45 range.
Jo Lual-Acuil (Baylor) in the 40-60 range
Wenyen Gabriel (Kentucky) 27-40 range
Chimeze Metu and Elijah Stewart (USC) 30-50
P.J. Dozier(USC) 40-60
Chris Boucher, Tyler Dorsey and Dillon Brooks(Oregon) in the 2nd rd
Peter Jok(Iowa) 50-60
L.J. Peak and Jessie Govan(Georgetown) 40-60
Isaiah Hicks and Joel Berry II(UNC) 40-60

T.J. Leaf is like a better version of Luke Babbitt. He can take it coast to coast. Handles it great.

Also I'll take Jrue Holliday's brother Aaron over Jawun Evans. I don't mind Evans he's just a player that I'd describe as one who does too much but still leaves plenty to be desired, and he's short.

Yah looks to have a really crossover for a 6'10" guy. Have they been playing him at SF or PF? Almost 3 assists a game so far.

Now we need to find the better version of Hayward in this draft and draft him ahead of Leaf.

On a more serious note - PG_AB, have you seen Temple wing Quinton Rose? If yes - what's your opinion on him? I only saw 1 game of him and I really liked him.

They play him mostly at PF but he projects more as a SF in the NBA IMO.

Do you think he has a chance in hell to guard 90% of the SFs in the league? His feet don't seem good enough on D, IMO... Very smart and skilled player though.

I've actually seen Temple play twice this year but wasn't watching him closely, vs UMASS I was watching Jerreau and vs FSU where he went off and hit the game-winning FT's I was mostly watching the Noles.. Seems like he's got some Caris LeVert to his game, right?

I put in a word to some local hoops people to see if they had any feedback since he's from Rochester.

All the services have him listed at 6'5" or 6'6" and Temple lists him at 6'8" so he's obviously had a bit of a growth spurt recently. He's listed by different services as a PG, a SG and a SF... which to me is usually a good sign.

Scout has him at 4stars, which seems to be right. He certainly had an inordinate amount of offers from good schools for a 3star.. Looks like a player to watch though, I like him. Hopefully he keeps shooting 3's in the high-30's. GREAT find for Temple.

Not right away but it's within the realm of possibilities, he's a better athlete than Doug McDermott.

The question with him is about his 3pt shot and it looks good thus far. If he can shoot he's worth a gamble because he's a triple-threat.
