Following potential 2017 draftees...

Interesting nugget about Hamidou Diallo that I saw someone repost from the Rivals UK board...

Heard a little bit last night about Diallo.

Basically the issue is this, the whole camp wants to go pro. I don't care what you hear in the media. That news was to keep colleges from backing off as much as they already where.

His skillset is major athleticism, a developing off the dribble game, and a shot that's not very good.

That DOESN'T translate to early success in the NBA where almost everyone is athletic or smart enough to guard someone who can't shoot.

So... Diallo's people are being told by a lot of important NBA people to go to UK.

Diallo's family of course would rather him be closer to home (UCONN maybe?)

NBA is the end goal. He's a fringe 1st round pick right now.

You do the math, probably smarter to go to UK for a year.


BONUS: I think Duke is 3rd or 4th for Knox right now. It's probably UNC and UK or UNC and FSU 1-2. I'm pretty confident on the UNC part more so than the UK part. FSU has family connection. Dad is a big Cal fan. Things can always change quickly in big time basketball.

Was doing some draft research and there's no way Harry Giles weighs 240. The guy is a stick. Ben Simmons is the same height as weighs 240.

Yep. right now he's probably more like 225, give or take 5lbs.. He's built almost exactly like a young Amare Stoudemire.

Agreed. And that's a good comparison. This draft reminds me of the stock market in the late-1990s where one could buy stock in any tech company and make money. DL is going to have fun working these guys out pre-draft.

He measured at 222 this summer on DX, it's easily find-able if you researched. He measured at 235 last year which is why sites like ESPN have him listed around 240 because they don't actively update their database when it comes to those things.

I think he should be a 2nd round pick. If he could fix the form on his jump shot he could be a great early 2nd round pick. He is the perfect size for a small ball PF if he measures out well with wingspan. Looks like he could guard 3's and 4's, too quick for 4's and too strong for 3's kind of player.
 
WOW Thomas Bryant just missed a crucial FT in overtime.. This game was an atrocious showing from IU and Idk if you could even call Anunoby's performance a showing, I'd argue he didn't show up at all.
