FWIW - The 2 players in this class I can recall over the years being compared to Michael Jordan (for various reasons) were Malik Monk and Markelle Fultz, both are crushing competition early this season. Figured that was noteworthy enough to post.

The Monk comparison was mainly because of his unreal athleticism at an early age.

The Fultz comparison was more about how he got cut from the 10th grade varsity team at DeMatha and had to play JV..

Too many young stars without role players and clear identities imo. I'm not saying it would be bad for them by any mean but I wouldn't assume they'd be great just because they got him. Hell, they have a lot of talent now and suck.

I watched Dennis Smith against a pretty bad Illinois team and was underwhelmed. I didn't just see a bad game either as he's shooting 41% and 27% on the year. early in his frosh season, so you can't come to much of a conclusion about a kid, but for now, not impressed - and it tends to get tougher in conference.
