What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

I have been doing a lot of reading on Giles injuries.

1st was his right knee his sophomore year. ACL, MCL and meniscus.

2nd was his left knee his senior year and just the ACL. Side note this is not surprising as many youngsters will stress the other knee protecting the first injury.

3rd was just an athroscopy on the left knee. This is more going in and removing scar tissue and stuff. This again is not uncommon.

With his age I am not overly concerned. Player have bounced back from these kind of injuries.

I still think he has the chance to be a steal and even if he only gets back to 80% of his potential him and gobert would be monsters

He plays with a chip on his shoulder and seems to have a good work ethic

Do you not like Justin Jackson? I remember Locke saying the the Jazz loved him but he opted to stay in college for another year. I had a feeling he'd play himself into the lottery, but I still can't tell if I like him as a prospect or not.

Well I've long said here that I prefer the Canadian Justin Jackson..

Even DX has had him at the very bottom of the 2nd rd this year.. I've followed him since HS, there's no doubt he's got the skill level of a 1st rd pick.

Frankly I think he's too soft to have real NBA star power, I think he can be a damn good role player for a long time though.

I'm not so sure I buy this fantastic story of improvement, I think it's more that he was very streaky for long stretches, was dragging his feet if u will and then picked it up... When he shot 30% as a Freshman from 3 I said it was anomalous and when he shot 29% from 3 as a Sophomore I said it was anomalous..

This is some kind of asswhooping St. Mary's is putting on BYU.. 95% of their games I've seen this year have just been this same maelstrom of 3's with Jock Landale dropping 20-10..

Andrew Jones still in there?

27. Andrew Jones

Jones is another upside pick relying on size and elite athleticism at this point to carry him into the first round. He continues to be very inconsistent and is in the middle of a shooting slump over the past nine games.

Texas' season should end this week and he'll have a tough decision. Scouts all agree another year at Texas would be good for him. But there's enough raw potential to get him drafted in the Nos. 20-40 range.

He did way better in the 2nd half, but idk, just not a huge Collins fan. It's refreshing to see a big so comfortable and dominant in the post, but he doesnt seem to be a great playmaker from the post. I'm much more impressed when I watch Yante Maten and I think his game translates much better to the NBA.
