Following potential 2017 draftees...

You guys talk at all about Dwayne Bacon from FSU? The Jazz could use a tough, quick athlete like that with a shooting stroke.

Is he expected to go in the 2nd rd?

excellent read lots of indepth stuff and takes from scouts.

“He has great bounce, he’s skinny as hell, but he’s playing in (bleeping) Australia,” a Southeast Division executive said. “I heard Dante Exum was a point guard. No, he’s not. He has no left hand. He’s not a great shooter by any stretch of the imagination, and he’s not a creative player as a point guard. He was a perfect concoction of the trends of the day -- he was young, he was long, he had some athleticism, and he was the mystery man that nobody wanted to miss on. And now, he’s a backup on a team (Utah) that’s good. And they’re good. But they’re not good because of him.”

Damn, that executive really tore down Exum.

I think, in fairness, that Exum is creative enough with the ball. He still does very basic stuff, but even doing basic stuff he can be effective just due to his physical profile. He gets by defenders with his length alone.

I would take DJ Wilson ahead of Wagner. Wilson at least has some upside due to his athleticism, handle and shiftiness, even though he's not great at anything yet.

Bennie 'Buckets' Boatright has declared for the draft. Won't be signing an agent. Will be interested to hear what the other underclassman at USC do.

Exum looks like he can do anything, just seems overwhelmed by the moment all the time. The thing I think we all got wrong about Exum isn't his skills. The thing, in my opinion, that we got wrong is his killer instinct. I don't see it. He seems like a pretty normal 21 year old kid. That said, I think he'll be a decent player.

the one constant with Exum, even when he's playing well is that he doesn't create for teammates. February and March might have been the most productive two month stretch of his career and he averaged 1.5 assists.

It seems like posters want safe picks over BPA's these days.. I say go for the gusto. methinks that safe pick bs is often just guised instant gratification seeking.

I can't help but think of Dennis Lindsey talking about how older players often times are higher risk than younger ones.

U want an NBA ready PG this is him. Not Frank Mason.. He could be in play with that last 1st or if they're real lucky the first 2nd rd pick.

He's a Sr but the same age as Exum, born in the summer of '95.
