Following potential 2017 draftees...

In the Celtics/Wizards series, Wall and Porter were going at Isaiah Thomas on every single possession. A small guy who can't survive on defense can't stay on the floor for a good team.

The standards are higher for a team that wants to win 50+ games.

Boston won that series with the little guy getting major minutes, and they don't have a Gobert to back up IT when he gets beat.

I would generally agree that I prefer length and defensive ability at the PG spot, but I think Utah could cover for a small PG who can shoot the lights out.

Yeah, but IT was historically great on offense. That is what is needed to offset being small and crappy at defense.

Just crossing my fingers Okobo stays in the draft. I think he could be a stash guy that could end up being a great steal. Better prospect than Frank Jackson IMO.

But I was expecting him to go before the jazz and push some one else down.

Anyone expected to go higher that pulls out sucks

Fair enough. I think he probably would have gone early 2nd round. I could see the Jazz or Spurs taking him at 29/30, but everyone else in the late first probably wants more NBA ready prospects.

IT's Junior season- 16.8 PPG, 31.9 MPG, 51.2 2pt fg%, 34.9 3pt fg%, 71.9 ft%, 117.4 offensive rating
Keene's Junior season- 30.1 PPG, 37.6 MPG, 51.3 2pt fg%, 36.8 3pt fg%, 81.9 ft%, 113.9 offensive rating

Pac-12 vs MAC

Oh, and his team's record was awful (2nd to last) in MAC play.

Wondering if DL will entertain trading down for money again. We have the 42nd pick again - last year he sold it for 3M and we drafted Bolomboy at 55.

Washington was up by 8 in the 3rd quarter of Game 7 until IT was taken out. When he went to the bench, the Celtics turned the game around. The Wizards still would have won if John Wall didn't go into brick mode in the 4th quarter.

But yeah, having Gobert and other help defenders helps for sure.
