Following potential 2017 draftees...

That was a good read...thanks for the link.

BTW- Jazz had Cooke in for a work out on June 14-DX doesn't even rank him in the top 100.

Yeah, honestly I think these hardcore draft dudes just scour the NCAA for anyone who is athletic, can shoot it a bit, and is long and just overrate them based on the trend of the NBA going wing heavy. The results of a weak wing class is you got people throwing out hot takes to find wing sleepers.

Also think a guy like Kuzma gets undervalued because the rising sentiment seems to be "If the NBA is just going smaller, is there really a need for the "playmaking" 4 when you can just downsize to the more natural perimeter playing 3 playing the 4?" Since Kuzma doesnt have the defensive metrics (bad block and steal rate) that you want out of a guy with his size, I think people are rating him really low. Think his rebounding is being underrated in the process (because while it is good, it's not stand out amazing), and that is what makes him a viable prospect even if his playmaking skills never grow to the point where they are at a plus level.

Here's a replacement for Catchall 's heart after Kurucs dropped out of the draft:

Serbian G Ognjen Jaramaz might be interesting at 55. He was a standout at the Adidas Eurocamp. #75 on the DX top 100.

He looks like the little kid on Hoosiers. Every time he drove the lane i kept expecting him to dribble it off his leg.

Man, Sterling Brown seems like a no-brained 3 & D guy. Great side, good shooter, knows how to play to a role. If Elijah Millsap had a jump shot, he'd be a lot like Brown.

Haha I read that this morning. I love Kaiser. He has some really good takes and I really like the way he views basketball. One of my favorite writers.

He just way overrates wingspan. He honestly has a dude like Luke Nelson at 22 just because he is a combo guard who has a nice wingspan who once outplayed Terry Rozier.

Another interesting thing of Draft Twitter vs NBA Draft: I wonder if there is any chance John Collins falls to the Jazz at 24? A lot of the draft writers and thinkers are really down on Collins relative to the major draft website consensus.

Yeah I don't agree with all of his stuff of course, but he's got some good takes.

Yeah, just some takes are super wild. Like some guy I've never heard of at 22. DX has him ranked as the 60th *senior* available. Does he have past big boards on record?

Since everyone in the draft looks like a future all-star to me today I like this idea...

Brian Seltzer @brianseltzer
Colangelo on 2nd-rounders:"So many variables what we might be able to do." Says, i.e., you could use them in package to get back into 1st R.

Tom Moore @tmoore76ers
#Sixers Bryan Colangelo: Getting a late 1st-rounder would probably be 'a better fit for the current roster.'

Philly has the 36,39, 46, and 50 picks.
So which teams have a late 1-st rounder they may be willing to role into a couple of second round picks?

So The Jazz should trade #30 for 36 & 39 and draft the Second Round Dream all-star team.

#24- Pf-DJ Wilson
#36- PG-Frank Jackson
#39- C-Mathias Lessort
#42- SG-Wesely Iwundu or Josh Hart
#55-SF-Wesely Alves Da Silva -

I'd be down with trading 30 for 36 and 39 as long as DL structures the contracts similar to a 1st round pick (where the free agent is restricted)so once the contract ends the Jazz can match the offer if another team attempts to sign him.
