Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Everyone thought Lyles had zero trade value and DL flipped him and 24 for 13. You never know how other teams feel about certain players.

I’m sure we could move up a couple spots using Bradley and 21.

Teams like Denver, Washington and Milwaukee want (and need) cap relief more than young players, though certainly a young player would sweeten the deal for them. They have no cap room to maneuver in signings or trades. So the question is how much salary the Jazz are willing to take back.

Denver has been working out the same players as Indiana. It looks pretty obvious that they have a contingency to move back into the 20s. Chicago (picking at 22) is a team with some cap space still, so maybe that's the deal Denver has on the table.

The rumor about Washington being willing to trade down from 15 sounds pretty legit.

Milwaukee reportedly would like to move Bledsoe and might not retain Jabari.

Josh Okogie could very easily end up a better player than Lonnie Walker. He keeps growing on me.

If things go well for Lonnie Walker, he's Gary Harris or JR Smith.

If things go well for Okogie, he's a borderline All Star. His talent level is that of a smaller Shawn Marion.

Huerter also GONE.

I really hate this. Give me Okobo instead please.

Do you have the write up for the Jazz?

Do you have the write up for the Jazz?

Troy Brown

Brown's size, multipositional defense and upside could be intriguing at this stage of the draft.

He's one of the youngest players in this class and consistently described as an outstanding teammate and worker. Helping him become a better shooter will be a major key for whichever team drafts him.

Another thing some people here are underestimating about Troy Brown...
J A Z Z D N A

Seems like every team he has worked out for has absolutely raved about his leadership (especially vocal leadership), interviews, and overall makeup. Very mature for a young guy and would instantly have the respect of vets in the locker room IMO.

For a while my top 3 choices have been Huerter, Okobo and Troy Brown. The past few weeks I've been thinking Huerter was the most likely to fall to us at 21, but now I'm starting to think he's the least likely of the 3 to still be there when we pick.

Comparing Josh Okogie to Miles Bridges, Okogie had more blocks, more steals, more FT attempts, a better 3-pt %, and otherwise comparable shooting numbers playing as a guard on a much crappier team at Ga. Tech.

He gives up 2 inches and 10 lbs to Bridges, but has 3.5" more wingspan and he's a markedly quicker in the open floor. I think you can play Okogie at the 3 and do just as well. If instead of asking Okogie to carve up defenses with his dribble you let him slash from the wing, I think he'll be an effective player.

Miles isn't that good and didn't get any better from frosh to soph season.

Hmm I disagree. He looked a lot more polished and improved his FT% from like 68% to 85%. I just think he'd be the perfect jack-of-all-trades guy. Great athlete, can shoot, versatile on defense, high bball IQ. I think Ingles is the perfect mentor for him too and I think he has a very high floor.
