What's new

Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I'm going to be blown away if we stay at #21. Honestly, I would be shocked.

There is so much chatter and teams wanting to move around. We need to take advantage of a team if we can. We have a half dozen players we like. Let's get two of them instead of just one.

Atlanta has #30 and #34
Philly has #26 and #38
Golden State has #28 and their 1st next year
Brooklyn has #29 and #40
Lakers have #25, #39 and #47

I hope the Jazz can at least do a small deal to move up to 17 and get the guy in our tier that they want. Justin Zanick should still have decent relationships with the Bucks.

If I'm the Bucks, I want Mitchell Robinson or a point guard to replace Bledsoe. Either can be had at #21, and it would only be dropping 4 spots to clear some salary.

A waste of a pick? Explain.

I don’t understand all of the Allen hate on here but it makes me want the Jazz to draft him even more.
I like about 15 players that are available at the pick better than Allen. Allen is old and IMO doesn't have the playmaking and shotmaking ability to justify not being a great defender and not having great physical attributes.

I like Khyri, but he doesn’t provide the same spacing as Huerter. Khyri is a good shooter, but Huerter is stroking it from 30 ft on a regular occasion. That literally spaces a defense out more. Look at how far out guys have to come to defend Curry. Makes a big difference for an offense.
Huerter won't be taking 30 footers on the Jazz. Also, if you are going to take that position - that Huerter is better at 30 footers- , provide some evidence to back it up. Otherwise you're just talking out of your ***.

Throwing us off the scent. Musa is in play

#LockeWatch
Locke eliminated Melvin Frazier and Dzanan Musa from consideration in the first 2 minutes of his draft day podcast.

IMO it's all bur certain that if we go by #LockeWatch what we do is draft
1. Huerter if he falls to us
2. Grayson Allen
3. Mo Wagner...
4. dark horse option - trade up for Miles Bridges if he falls far enough.

IMO most realistically we draft Allen.

nbadraft.net made a single move on their latest mock draft edition and that's to move Grayson Allen from the 30s to 21 for the Jazz

DX/ESPN/Givony moved Grayson Allen to 21 to the Jazz in his latest mock today too.

edit: it seems like nbadraft has moved Allen up to 19 now.

I think the Jazz like Allen, but I think they're milking it through their signaling, hoping it might get someone to bite on him earlier and leave them with someone they like more.

But literally none of us have any actual clue.
