Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Anyone want to post the new ESPN mockdraft?

Having viewed ESPN's mock draft, the following is my personal review and interpretation of how ESPN thinks the draft will play out:

1 Doncic (Bulls)
2 Bagley III (Suns)
3 Ayton (Kings)
4 Porter Jr. (Hawks)
5 Bamba (Cavs fr. Nets)
6 R. Williams (Mavs)
7 Jackson Jr. (Sixers fr. Lakers)
8 Miles Bridges (Grizzlies)
9 Sexton (Magic)
10 Knox (Clippers)
11 Musa (Knicks)
12 Mikal Bridges (Hornets)
13 Duval (Suns fr. Heat)
14 Walker IV (Pacers)

That's the lottery. Stay tuned for my next post on the remainder of the first round.

Did you not see the next post where I gave the link to see all the picks?

Continuing my review of the ESPN current mock draft, the remainder of the first round is projected to play out as follows:

15 Bruce Brown (Pels)
16 Carter Jr. (Jazz)
17 Young (Nuggets)
18 Troy Brown (Blazers)
19 Simmons (Bucks)
20 Diallo (T'wolves fr. OKC + the Ricky Rubio trade)
21 Milton (Hawks fr. T'wolves)
22 Justin Jackson (Pistons)
23 G. Allen (Sxiers)
24 M. Robinson (Wizards)
25 Melton (Cavs)
26 N. Richards (Spurs)
27 Metu (Nets fr. Raptors)
28 Khyri Thomas (Celtics)
29 Battle (Hawks fr. Rockets)
30 McCoy (Warriors)

At least the Celtics don't have another lottery pick...

A lot of guys from 10-20ish that I really like conceptually.
Utah should have a pretty tough time screwing this pick up regardless of where it lands IMO, their position isn't a big deal. If they have someone out of range they really want, which FO are you gonna trust to make the move more than Utah's after Rudy and Mitchell??
Svi in the second round would be nice.
dream-scenario... The way people and TV analysts and even hardcore fans, been talking kinda wait-and-see-ish about Kansas... I must be watching something different... and I've been watching closely...

That entire team is comprised of players I been hyping individually for years here.. I'll just leave it at that..

I'm confident Svi would be able to absorb incredible amounts of game from Joe Ingles in a very short amount of time..

They could land Silvio De Souza in the coming months too, who actually just turned 19 in October, so he might be able to work his way into draft eligibility ( I haven't looked into it too closely, the talent is there tho).

Self is confident that the Billy Preston eligibility situation will resolve itself relatively soon.. Point is low-key this team playing the best ball right now, and has major reinforcements on the way...

Dickie V said that Vick's rebounding #'s are a formation of cupcake city... My nostrils flared when he said it.. He's wrong, hes the best rebounder they got on the entire team, and thats not exactly a shot at the bigs either..
I guess the Sixers are going to be good.

Where do they have LaGerald Vick?

I'll just say this, he's reached Will Barton status in my mind.. there's no doubt he's gonna get undue criticism just because he's skinny..

I still like my chances that Devonte Graham is better than Frank Mason too, actually, I really like my chances... He was holding Graham back, it's undeniable..

My buddy is a KU fan he already said "all the **** u were talking seems to be coming true"..

This is a college basketball team.. y'all will come to learn.. y'all know I have always spoken about that 8th seed knicks team Van Gundy took to the finals using the 3-guard look.. Kansas one of the most spectacular versions of it i can recall, the key to those lineups is Latrell Spreewell at the SF, and Kansas has that in Vick... I like them better than anything we've seen from Nova, or really any really good 3-guard look college team we've seen recently..

To be frank, if there's a team with enough firepower to run Duke and Marvin Bagley straight off the floor ---- It's Kansas..

That's solid talent throughout the lottery. I'm not sure Lonnie Walker goes that high though.

The Jazz need a 6'8" or so two-way, triple-threat player with solid length and plus athleticism to play out of the high post. Ingles won't quite cut it, and Hood is more of a release-valve type. This is basically the role that Joe Johnson was playing in the Clippers series last year, especially Game 4 when Hayward was out, but we want someone more athletic who plays faster and can get on top of the rim.

Assuming we're out of the lottery, I'm still hoping Jared Vanderbilt comes back and plays well enough to enter the draft.

DX has Anfernee Simons at 19.. PSA; Pay that **** no mind... That's, at-best, playing it super-safe.. That ***** weak tho, cmon now..

There is no reason to think that he'd fall out of the lottery at this point..

He's in the top-10 on my board..

If thats the range he's in I can tell you right now Simons is the early leader for (what we'll call the Dennis Schroder distinction) the player on my board I've got highest over the consensus..

Has someone bombed this thread with Simons footage? I will do the honors... just say the word.. I've seen it all multiple times, I'll handpick favorites.

Simons borders on Dennis Smith levels of you gotta see this ****... All by himself he will affect the depth of PG in this draft..

The question is 'just how elite of a prospect is he?', not 'is he elite?'.... which is why I'm scoffing at the implication of 19..

Prime candidate to TORCH the team workout shooting drills a la Damian Lillard.

Luke Kennard is great, but for me, If he's a lottery pick, Anfernee Simons is damn sure a lottery pick... I honestly don't know where they get off putting him 19th, that'd be just as stupid as when Jeff Teague fell to 19 (which happened in a LOADED PG class)..

The boos would be hilarious if the Knicks picked Musa. The takes would be crazy.
One might think after drafting Porzingis and with both Hernangomez and Ntilikina showing a lot of promise that Knicks fans could finally rid themselves of stigmatizing international talent in the city with the most national diversity in the whole country, but I think you may be onto something...

I think if the Jazz got themselves a PF with shooting + playmaking that would be best case. It would allow Rubio to focus on passing with decent spacing while two knockdown shooters are manning wing positions(2 out of Mitchell, Hood, Ingles, Burks)
