Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Catchall's early ranking of forwards & wings who would fit with the Jazz:
  • Doncic
  • Bagley (he can probably learn to shoot eventually)
  • Porter Jr. (depends on medical reports)
  • Knox
  • Mikal Bridges
  • Jared Vanderbilt (if he doesn't have any long-term foot issues)
  • Musa
  • Troy Brown
  • Miles Bridges (would improve if he interviews well, but he seems to have a bit of attitude that might not work in Utah)
  • Walker / Diallo

I wouldnt listen to them this early tbh. i already disagree w/ most of what I ranked a week ago.
You’ve got some guys way higher (Musa) or lower (Diallo) than I do at this point. Right now, I’ve got about 10 guys I’m really hoping for. Add another 10-12 if the Jazz can flip somebody for a late 1st at the deadline. Ideally, they’d have kept the OKC pick and gotten two young contributors on rookie contracts instead of Rubio for two years.

I feel pretty confident in Musa being lottery and Diallo not being anything other than a late first round pick at best (though thats probably unfair to say since we don't know who is actually declaring).

Also, the Bates-Diop guy on Ohio State, should definitely be top 60 and could even be last first round material.

Keita Bates Diop, who I've been mentioning here for years (was part of OSU's freshman class with D'Angelo Russell).. Is balling all over #1 MSU right now and looks like a first rd pick, which is something I suspected all along.

Fans of the 3'n'D archetype will appreciate his game. He seems to be trending out of the fringe first range and into the end of the first...

And I mean since it's OSU I'll jsut say I like him better than Evan Turner, IDC how much $$$ he's made or where he was drafted. thats just my personal preference.

There's really gonna be some nice SF's on the board early in the 2nd rd, for sure.

Edit- the big guy they have at OSU Kaleb Wesson is definitely an NBA player and possible goon too.

My boi Jacob Evans has played well so far this season. Hasnt taken the scoring leap I hoped for, but he has become a much better PNR player. He reminds me a lot of Joe Ingles.
