Following Potential 2018 Draftees

biggest thing with porter is he looked like the worst run/jump athlete out there. its one thing to look lost, to miss shots and be rusty, but the dude couldn't get off the ground and looked slow. either he's still injured which is not good for his stock or he's just not an athlete which is not good for his stock.

the more i watch Mikal Bridges, the more i like his game. something about his shooting stroke - i wouldn't say its picture perfect, but damn, its a pretty jumpshot. also crazy how consistent he's been with his shooting efficiency over his three years at Nova as his usage has increased. imo, that is a really good sign going forward.

That would depend upon the supporting cast. i think with rudy anchoring the paint he could start next to him.

I know you don't like my mentioning Davis Bertans, but if we're being honest, they have some of the same strengths and weaknesses. They both are good at running the floor, shooting spot-up 3s, hitting floaters from 8-10 feet. They have some of the same physical limitations defensively and on the boards. Tillie is a better paint scorer and can finish with either hand around the rim, and he's a better and more creative passer, but it remains to be seen if he can do that against NBA bigs. Bertans has shown more shooting range.

I like Tillie and think he should be better than Jerebko, but I think we should be aiming higher for a starting 4. Id just temper expectations a bit.

Nah, they arent alike.

How is Tony Bradley high risk or high reward?
The reports were that he could be a lottery pick if he returned to college this season. He was one of the rawer prospects in the draft, certainly not ready for NBA minutes. So definitely high risk to take him over others who probably would be able to contribute immediately. Maybe the term "project" would have been better. But I view that as high risk since so many never do develop into what draft experts thought they could. If Bradley plays next season at the level of what players picked in the 10-14 range this draft do, I'd label that as high reward since he was picked #28 based on potential, certainly not on his college stats.

I think there was one report, don't remember it being a consensus or anything. He simply would have returned to school if he was that good and it was a lock. His rookie contract would have then been three times bigger.
