Following Potential 2018 Draftees

But a much better athlete

Does that really matter that much if he is too small to ever use that athleticism consistently? Like, yeah, he should be a much better defender, but he is still going to be too small to defend a lot of 2's in the NBA. He isnt a great rim attacker. He was never a player who got to the foul line much. He is a jump shooter, like Burke.

These small guys who live on jumpers can survive in college, but when they get against NBA length the easy buckets at the rim are cut off and all they have is the pull-up jumper to create offense. Those looks are harder because of length and now you just got a small guard who can only score off tough off the dribble shots.

Look guys, if you can't tell, I'm hating on Hayward. Actually, I'm hating on dbags like Cy around here still worshiping the ground Hayward used to walk on. The guy was a good player who showed signs of being great. Overall, he was great for one year then bolted like a coward for his college coach, an easier conference and more success playing behind a star bigger than he could become.

Hayward was good but I prefer my draft prospect comps to use another pro instead of the one guys around here simply cannot get over. It's like comparing some random girl's butt to my buddy's ex's butt who was a bitch, cheated on him and is definitely not coming back. Move on.

Why are we talking about Haywood again?
Lol I wish someone here would engage me in convo bout my years of spot on predictions on Hayward, especially Cy, he's too busy riding his high horse to face that music tho... I won that argument in landslide, nearly flawless, fashion, If u really look too I swore up and down the Jazz were gonna be a playoff team if hayward and hill walked, which is how it played out exactly..

No one here used the word replaceable in reference to Hayward nearly as much as me, way more ppl *cough* suckers *cough* were in the stockholm syndrome boat and thougt it was prudent to max and appease him.

Now that the dust is long settled Hayward performed well for this franchise on the court -- he didnt nearly perform as well as an asset though, he was more like a high priced whore than a true franchise talent who strengthened the cause. He'd have served this team much better being trade bait at the draft or deadline, he'd also have served this team better if he let the organisation know his true intentions instead of stringing them along. The FO deserves some blame for this too, they failed at sniffing out a deserter til it was too late.

Y'all treated Hayward like he was the young wolf and king of the north, Robb Stark.. We'd have been much better off appliing some Tywin Lannister style logic, the house (The franchise)/sigil is the top priority always, exceptions can be made - but not for Hayward, he was never powerful enough to qualify.

As i predicted many years back Jason Tatum's gonna be better than him for sure.

What'd I say about video game players being inherently greedy and conditioned to finding the path of least resistance? Saw the **** coming a mile(several years) away.

I think you're the only person perceiving any kind of worship... Recognition of existence isn't some kind of mind-blowing compliment.

He is a very good player, and people around here are closely acquainted with his game. Using him as a player comp makes sense. Doesn't mean people are obsessed.

Your obsession with Cy, on the other hand...

He’s 3 inches taller than Burke and likely pulled a pat connaughton on standing reach to help his vert... not functionally the same size at all. He’s 13 pounds heavier and had a lower body fat. He’s much tougher and likely won’t be a lockdown defender but has good habits and will compete. He’s athletic and it shows on defense. He will be a good defender.

I’m worried about him getting separation more than anything and I think long term he could be more of a 1 than a 2. In our offense it wouldn’t matter much as long as he can get people where they supposed to be... trey Burke.... gtfo with that one.

Obsession with Cy? That's funny. If you were to track that, which it seems like you're interested, you would see that Cy responds to my posts with his consistently pretentious way of doing things. When I address him, it's in a response to his actions. When it comes to his posts, I treat with them with objectivity like I do with every post. I don't look at who posts. I look at content.

Cy just has a Napoleon complex that manifests itself in being a keyboard shot taker. If he stuck to Jazz and general NBA knowledge, he actually would be more respectable. He does have some good perspective sometimes when he addresses the topics like an adult.

As for Hayward, I understand the comps. I choose to go elsewhere with mine because you can't find a true, objective consensus on what Hayward was due to emotions.

Yes. Cy being factually accurate about the kind of player Hayward is, is worshipping him.

The only person between the two of you acting like they haven’t gotten over Hayward is you. You’ve got the issue with Hayward, not Cy. Maybe you need to get over it, yeah?

Hayward has been brought up constantly this offseason so far via either player comparisons or people actually saying they want us to try to trade for him. I'm completely over Hayward which is why I'm telling others to move on. You obviously don't read my posts and want to just stick more than just the tip of your big nose in this conversation.

Are you incapable of recognizing that people can have moved on, while still finding him a useful comparison player when speculating about team needs? And you're the one that came in and started telling everyone not to mention Hayward even as an ancillary example in a discussion that was previously perfectly on topic.
