okay, i'll come clean. your mom wouldn't get off me unless i questioned him - it was getting to where i couldn't breathe.
Still shocked Raynaud fell all the way to the mid 2nd round.
Also Flemings/Malauch getting no minutes for the Suns has been a draft watcher bummer.
I've been waiting for the Cy bump on your Raynaud draft takes.
Raynaud was super rough to start the season, but looks more comfortable now and is playing very well.
The Yang bumps two years from now will be glorious. Or catastrophic
I need to eat crow here. His efficiency has been bonkers. I thought he'd struggle athletically at the NBA level.
Good on you. Lots of dudes here were certain he wouldn’t translate in the NBA.
Here's some data for the top rookies by minutes played. I used 400 minutes as the qualifier, but included Harper because I wanted to.
If the season ended today I would go with ROY:
1. Kon - USG% + TS% + positive on/off net rtg put him over the top for me.
2. Flagg - Shear total usage, but Dallas being 9.5pts better defensively with him off the court is interesting.
3. V.J. - Mostly due to how much he seems to be impacting team off/def, TS% is concerning
Rest of the first team Rookies:
4. Queen - Counting stats/36 and on/off impact
5. Coward - Really solid numbers across the board
Second Team all rookie:
6. Harper - Probably first team by the end of the year, but has played less minutes
7. Ace - Probably because I'm a homer
8. CMB - Best DEFRTG and improves the defense while on the court on a very good defensive team.
9. Fears - Putting up stats, but hurting team, but kind of expected for a rookie guard
10. Egor/Tre - Not sure who I would put here yet.
I had him 7th, so not great, but I didn't completely fade him.
I would have laughed at anyone who thought he'd be playing this well his rookie year
