Following Potential 2025 Draftees

The Jazz have never won the lottery, so we really dont know if a college aged super-star is faced with the certain truth that he is going to Utah if he would stay or return to college.

Flagg, a white guy from Maine, announcing he is returning to school after Utah wins the lottery, would be extremely devastating.

Then we just take Harper and we're set.

Depending on how Jazz tank goes, If Flagg (or any other college kid) is so set in avoiding the Jazz, they might wanna stay in college more than just another year.

If we trade Lauri, they could be looking into playing through their entire college eligibility, maybe even consider a stint overseas at Real Madrid.

I mean, no one is going to avoid the lottery because they have a chance at being drafted by the Jazz. But there's a difference when it's guarantee you know where you are going.

I still doubt he would back out just because Utah won. He's also not the first college player to wax poetic about how much he love his experience and wants to stay to play with the next elite group coming in.

Yes, I'm not concerned at all.

A thought exercise:

If Flagg, Harper, and Bailey came out strongly today and said they're all definitely returning to college next year, what would you advise the Jazz to do?

Would you tell them to win as much as possible and see if they can get that OKC debt conveyed this year (and then maybe trade what you can after the season to go all in for a tank next year)?

Of course not
