Following Potential 2025 Draftees

If I had to make an early prediction, I'd say the Jazz will be tempted to take a 2-way forward with the Twolves pick--one of Bryant, Murray-Boyles or Fleming. All three of those guys are intriguing talents that fit a need. They aren't stars per se, but they have toughness, athleticism and complementary production that the Jazz will need, and I could see them fitting the playstyle that Will Hardy seems to want--e.g., play hard, play fast, space the floor/make 3s, play defense.

Like I noted, his main issue is his 3pt shot, which I think is fixable. If he was hitting another 1.5 per game of his 3 point shots, his numbers would basically be on par with these guys...
Difference is SGA was an aggressive scorer and Lonzo was an aggressive shooter. Demin is naturally timid in both areas.

One thought I had is what is more likely, Harper improves his shooting or VJ improves his handle? If you believe VJ can improve his handle, I think he has a case for #2. I was skeptical of him preseason, but I've been impressed by his shooting and passing.
I know you shouldnt draft on fit, but I like the fit of Edgecome/Collier more than Harper/Collier. ATM I still have Harper #2, but it's become a conversation in my mind.

Nah, he's been firing away on his 3's of late, even though not hitting at a good clip and he's happy to drive. I'd be more concerned if his mechanics were ugly, but they're fine. He hit a pretty one from deep during a small Kansas run to take their hope away. The less he thinks the better it looks, which makes me believe he'll eventually straighten it out.

His worst case is a much taller Ricky Rubio, which is a very good player.

I would say his worst case is far worse than Rubio, but I get what you are saying and he has shot the 3ball more than I originally assumed.

This is where having a GLeague coach that has been focused on player development has been key for BYU and Demin- a traditional college coach focused on the immediate game in front of them would have limited Demin by now and told him to stop firing so freely, Coach Young instead, has encouraged him to keep firing and keep making risky passes that greases the skids of the offense, which should pay dividends for his pro team next year.

Ya I mean byu might have played their best game in their program history last night and he wasn't even noticeable. Was probably about the 5th best player on the team last night. Which is kind of typical for him.

The best game was BYU vs. San Diego State at the Marriot Center when Jimmer was there. Those two teams played at their absolute peak that night. I have never seen anything like that.

What guys have the most star potential in your opinion?

I think Queen/Traore/Demin/Fears/CMB/Wolf maybe are guys you can see a narrative where XYZ translated and they fixed a few things and they hit. IDK... I'm not like consumed with the Minny pick being in the lotto other than the odds at jumping top 4 atm. I think this is a draft you will be able to move up in if you have a notion on a guy.
In addition to your list I would add Fland, Saraf, Egor, Jace, Jackson, and Bryant.
