What's new

Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I would not be surprised at all if the Jazz draft a point/combo guard with the Minnesota pick -- whether that's Traore or Sergio de Larrea. I don't think the Jazz are settled on Collier, as nice a story as that's been this year. (I'm not sure if Ben Saraf really projects as a starter.)
It would be easier to pick up a vet pg then try to thread the needle, again, with a later first round pick on a starting pg. Just get best player available. Good vets can be had pretty cheaply now a days with everyone capped out.

I really havent watched much Yaxel at all even though I've been aware of him. I think when you put up that stat line against any level of competition you are probably a lock to get drafted. Just insane stuff.

we need that guy to keep playing. dude's a beast. i guess worst case he's in the NIT. though that may be best case as he'd have a better chance to play more games.
I would be surprised if UAB got a NIT invite. They were the 3rd ranked team in the American. I guess it's possible though given how many P5 teams deny their invites to the NIT out of embarrassment.

i've never seen him play (only highlights). the highlights from last night are encouraging - it looks like he can legit play some three on offense. they often give him the ball on the perimeter and let him create from out there. shows ball handling chops and a natural feel as a passer (an impressive play at about the 2:47 mark where throws a guy open on a skip pass) and he has a really good looking shooting stroke. they play a very good north texas team at 3pm utah time today on espn2.

I've liked Yaxel for awhile now. His film always reminds me of like a teenager playing against little kids. He looks so out of place in that league.

Jace reminds me of Donovan if Donovan couldn't fly. I'm not sure how valuable that player is, but it's probably worth a lottery pick.
