Izzo is looking old. I really don't get these coaches that do it forever. It seems like a super stressfull job. I can't imagine that money at that age is that important, they definitely have more than they can spend in their lifetime.

I think most of them are just pathologically competitive basketball lifers who can't let go. It's the only thing they want to do.
Izzo is just four years older than Ainge, and Danny is still out here trying to get his kicks by "winning" deals where cash considerations and 2nd round picks change hands.
Yeah, there is definitely something wrong with them that gets them to that level in the first place.
If I were in their shoes I would retire at 60 and just take on consulting positions when I felt like it.
- I'd be surprised if there are teams that would draft CMB ahead of Ace Bailey or Tre Johnson. Normally, it's the high-end offensive players that go at the top of the draft. Bailey and Johnson should be big-time offensive players. Ace Bailey is being over-scrutinized at this point, imo.
- Maybe I have a blindspot with Asa Newell, but I'm struggling to see him as a top-10 guy, unless his handle, shooting and self-creation really take off. If he measures at the Combine in the 6'8" range, I think he's somewhat comparable to Precious Achiuwa. He's an athletic, defensive energy big who runs the floor and finishes plays. He won't be as physically dominant or get to the rim so easily at the next level. If he has touch from 5 - 10 feet, then that will expand his game. Right now, I don't think he takes more than a few dribbles and I don't think he handles or shoots off the bounce.
- Maluach is fine. He's a big physical presence. It's just that his movement and coordination aren't that tight, and it seems like he doesn't process the game super fast.
- I like Zikarsky and Proctor in the 2nd round. Both those guys I think should make it in the league. Proctor's play-style fits the NBA.

Max Shugla is an interesting sleeper.
Shugla is kind of like "Kon at home" as a 5th year senior.

I doubt we use 4 roster spots on rookies next year. I think we look to sell, draft and stash, or draft and sign to a two way with our second round picks. With where we are at as a team, the draft and stash route seems the best.

The problem with Knueppel is that he needs to use every old-man trick in the book to get enough separation at the college level. Hesitations, headfakes, stutter steps, bumping people out of balance... just a ton of work. And this on a team where defenses don't even have time to worry about him that much.
He has a chance to carve out an NBA career as a situational spot up shooter off the bench, but to expect anything more than that is just preposterous. I mean the guy is like 6'5'' and slow.
