I think what we all missed with Cody was the mental aspect. Only people who psycho tested him would have known how nonchalant and timid he was. All we see are his physical attributes.

I remember seeing how ecstatic Buzelis was when he was drafted. He was excited and ready to go to work.

I will say, it's odd that Cody makes a good play and doesn't react emotionally to it. Or he airballs a shot by 2 feet and doesn't react to that either. It's like there's very little competitive juice. He actually seemed okay in interviews from what I remembered.

Yeah he was brilliant in interviews. But that could be all part of the act to please his brother and his mom.

That’s why we need the psycho tests to see what he’s REALLY like. I remember way back when DL was the GM, Boston pionieered the psycho tests during draft interviews. DA would have been part of that, wonder why he didn’t pick up Cody’s lack of competitiveness and agression.

I wonder if his mono wasn't a factor in his lack of motor. It seems like he had it for awhile before it was diagnosed. I was really excited after his summer league play. I was concerned when he played for the Stars that guys like Justice and Kinsey looked far far ahead of him.
