Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I dont know if anyone has mentioned Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones here. He is old af and not a 3 point shooter but what if we draft him in the 2nd round and try and see if his game translates? Could be a big time value swing... especially since we can probably give him some decent burn against NBA competition.

6'6 guard with 6'11 wingspan
elite craftiness and decent athleticism
great BBIQ and touch
19.1 PPG with just 10.7 FGA (got to the line at an incredible rate with 8.5 FTA)
70.7% finishing at the rim and 57.6% FG (64.9 TS%)
7.8 WS and 10.0 BPM
25.7 AST% and 12.1 TO%

He is sort of a slasher guard which is not very fashionable, but he is damn good at that.

No reason why he can't play the point. Not every "PG" has to be cut from the exact same cloth. The time of "floor generals" is over anyway.

Whether there are no more floor generals or not he srill needs to be a competent ball handler which he is not, no wiggle no creation off the dribble and no separation and has to give up the ball with any kind of ball pressure how do you not see this? Stop watching highlights. I mean this is probably what got Cody Williams drafted 10th.
 
If Ainge thinks he can get who he wants at 8 we ought to make a deal with Brooklyn. There are so many options and I bet he will be getting calls for #5 as Bailey/Tre/V.J. is widely considered better than who comes next.

Update to board: Kon over VJ, Essengue bumped to 18. Queen dropped to 21.

did he ever get an official measurement? it doesn't look like he was at the combine. did he get measured at Portsmouth or something? i ask because he doesn't look 6'6" and for a white guy to have such a difference in height and wingspan with be almost unprecedented so i'm not believing the wingspan measurement for a second.
 
Locke had me thinking no pgs are 6’2” and below. But about 50% are according to ChatGPT (not entirely accurate but decent ball park).
