I don’t know if it’s because he’s a relatively new prospect to me, but Fears is really tantalizing. I’m not sold anybody else in our range has the same playmaking skills that he does.

Defense and shooting ability are a concern, but I really believe he might have the best shot at being the offensive player this team needs. He's young, played good competition, shoots free throws well and gets to the line a ton.

a) I really don't think the Jazz will draft Kon.
b) I think if the Jazz did draft Kon, they'd trade back to #6 or #7. The Pels, in particular, would probably like to trade up to #5 to secure Fears. They'd probably be happy to draft Ace as well.

I'd consider placing a hedge that Ace Bailey goes #5 (whether to the Jazz or someone else).

I would make an awful GM because I've also said we should stand pat and pick the best player left at 5, and have also considered trading up to 3.

If the Jazz aren't sold on Ace, I could see them swapping picks with Washington. The Wizards will snap up Ace. The Jazz would take Fears probably and move up from #21 to #18.

I think the Spurs are probably committed to Fox and are ready to take a step forward with a vet rather than wait on a rookie. For them, they might realize more value by moving the pick.

If the Jazz offered Lauri or Walker + #5, the Spurs would still walk out with Johnson or Bailey.
