I think the Spurs are probably committed to Fox and are ready to take a step forward with a vet rather than wait on a rookie. For them, they might realize more value by moving the pick.

If the Jazz offered Lauri or Walker + #5, the Spurs would still walk out with Johnson or Bailey.

About damn time this rumor comes out. Harper makes no sense there right now, Kon is a great fit with what they need. I’m hoping we can make the jump using future firsts as opposed to Walker or Lauri

Ace Bailey? I didnt get the context of the "true point" in the comments but everything else points to Ace.

Not highly touted going in to college. I remember listening to a podcast about Ace that described him as a touted, but not blue chip prospect.

Irrational confidence as a shooter? Ace surely believes he is the best shooter in the universe whether justified or not.

Not overly familiar with the high school to college scouting environment but, pretty sure Ace is as blue chip as it gets.

Doing a quick search, Ace was ranked 2nd Nationally behind Cooper Flagg by 24/7 Sports. Not sure how widely used they are as a service but it's the first one that comes up. A few speculated he might be better than Flagg at the beginning of the college season.

Ace also was a 5 star recruit who earned McDonald’s All-American, Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic honors.

I got the gist of this from a Spurs forum. They are enamored with the idea of getting Durant.

The Suns want to win and get younger.

They jazz can take contracts so long as we move up in the draft.

Essentially this gets the Spurs Kevin Durant and Kon or Tre or Ace in exchange for dropping 3 spots and 7 spots.

The suns get off Durant and get Lauri back. I am sure they will want something else in this deal. Not sure what, but they get off of a 36 year old diva for an all star that fits their timeline. Maybe they get the 21st pick?

There is a lot to like for all 3 teams if you buy the Durant to Spurs rumors.

But Canadians, Finns, Swedes and Russians do very well in ice hockey and they are not primarily identified as black so I would think that social/cultural/economic variables are at play here.

I'm currently considering the idea of trading down form 5 to get like 7 or 8 and stuff and then trading that stuff and 21 for like 14 or 15. That way we could get 2 of Kas, Kon, CMB, Coward, and Bryant.

I would make an awful GM because I've also said we should stand pat and pick the best player left at 5, and have also considered trading up to 3.

I'm too indecisive, lol.

I would be too worried we would take demin with the 14/15 pick.
Probably be kon and demin lol
