Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

No PJ in first round?
Interesting.
The bigs are the issue with that big board. jax hayes at 29 is even more preposterous than no pj, who;s obviouslyh going top-25

I never really understood the Bradley pick. I mean, yeah he's still young and the jury is still out on him and all. My guess is the Jazz thought they could get Kuzma at 28 but the Fakers got him instead at 27.

bradley pick was simple value. young, decent balance, offensive rebounds, he's pretty much like Kanter, solid drop step for a kid that age too

See Claxton is legit.

How many ppl were actually checking georgia games for Claxton?? I did and he seemed to me liek a prime under-the-radar candidate

Oooffff...

Its very bad news for teams in the west that Darius Garland is seemingly gonna drop in Pheonix's lap at #6...

That is an instant A or higher grade for them in this draft and they pick 32nd.

Iawtp. I think Garland will end up a top three player from this draft. Maybe easily.

I just posted in the off-season thread, but in his Q&A Tony Jones said the Jazz like Edwards, Okpala, and Paschall. Someone asked if there’s been a Donovan Mitchell level reaction from a workout and he said no, but singled out Edwards and Okpala.

Not for the Jazz, but am I the only person in the world who still kind of likes Happ?

yes. he'll turn 24 in what would be a rookie season, if he has a rookie season that is...

he is basically like an extremely ****** version of mason plumlee

he shot 46% from the FT stripe as a senior..

Okpala is far better than ppl seem to think here.. that board posted by stitches anyways..

I honestly dont know how ppl watch utahs stale old offense and then not love a guy who's 610 and can shoot off the dribble like kezie, im sure the jazz fo has long reached that point, if they havent i think they'd be incompetent quite frankly..

Carsen Edwards is a match for sure.

Edwards isnt a full PG, and Mitchell is a combo, together u get aproximately one full PG. it's mathematics folks.

I know this is Stockton-land and the PG position is sacred but more teams have won championships with dual combo's than Utah has with its PG allegiance. Ricky Rubio was another wasted shot in the dark into the pure PG realm...

they literally drafted trey burke a 6' combo guard under the illusion he was a true pg, coerced by ty corbin the coach known mostly for his suit collection

It's time. Carsen Edwards would be a great 'PG' to usher this in with... He's a PG but more like a backup PG, like Isaiah Thomas, that hopefully is too good to keep out of the starting lineup.. More important than his position is the fact he's a floor spacer, and high-volume 3pt shooter, and can get red-hot... and has 1 fast 1st step so u cant crowd him, plus pretty tough..

I have long said Houston Hoops was my favorite AAU squad to follow from afar and Carsen used to be De'Aaron Fox's backup !! he's come a long way.

I think we trade out. There's just too much talk of trades and finding players who can make an immediate impact on the roster amongst Jazz insiders and staff.
