Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

Walt Perrin's interview is posted after today's workouts.

A few take-aways---

Luguentz Dort
** Great body, great aggressiveness and physicality
** Really gets after it defensively
** Needs to learn to shoot better (who knew?)

Talen Horton-Tucker
** Showed some things he didn't show at Iowa State, especially the ability to create shots off the dribble
** Pretty good handle for a guy his age and size, can shoot step-back 3s
** Able to run an offense
** Probably can't guard 1s
** Needs to get leaner and work on his shooting
** One of the youngest players in the draft with a long time window to develop

Bruno Fernando
** Has an NBA body
** Should play at the 5, not the 4
** Showed a number of things he couldn't show at Maryland (which Walt is keeping secret)
** Shows some ability to shoot the ball, and may eventually hit some corner 3s
** Really active and talkative

Apparently, there were two other guys that Walt wanted to bring in today who had to cancel due to injury. I think they were in the first-round draft range.

Anyone know if guys like Cam Johnson, Keldon Johnson, Kevin Porter Jr. or Darius Bazley are injured? Tony Jones has been saying that the Jazz have been trying to get Cam and Keldon in to workout.

For my official Homer pick this year (no thread yet?) I'm going with: Justin Wright-Foreman from Hofstra

It's just more fun to try to pick out the 2nd rounders/undrafted guys that'll make it than picking among lottery picks

Past picks:
Richaun Holmes
Ben Simmons
Lauri Markannen
Gary Clark (also the worlds biggest Shamet homer, but could pick only one)

for the most part Im happy with who the Jazz got in. There were some 2nd round/undrafted guys I wanted in they didnt get tho.

Is it worth paying for subscriptions to ESPN+ or The Athletic for the draft coverage? If so which is better?
