What's new

Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

ESPN has been really high on Kabangele for a long time. I totally forgot that he's Mutumbo's nephew.

I know there's supposed to be one giant tier of players in a certain range, but I think this is the highest I have seen Tyler Herro.

I'm not really a fan of Keldon Johnson either. An "insider" on another forum said the Jazz love Grant Williams and want to draft him. Take that with a huge grain of salt though lol.

Keldon Johnson would be one of the last players I would take in our general range.

I think he'd be a pretty safe and solid pick, overall. He could turn out something similar to Gary Harris at Denver if he shoots consistently. He's pretty good at getting downhill on close-outs.

I'd believe it. Though that's a pretty safe thing to guess.

And it's not "rebuilding" for 5 years. It's build for 5 years. Get young players. Develop them. Don't sacrifice a bunch of assets for a two year window. Because Donovan is 22 and a player's prime is 27. Our window isn't just the next two years which is what Conley maybe gives us high quality play.
What assets?

Reportedly, the Celtics were the team that made a promise to Matisse Thybulle during the Combine, rather than OKC. I guess the thinking would be that they're planning to keep at least one of their picks at 20 or 22 and use it on Thybulle.

I don't see it with Grant Williams. Personally, I think I'd take Okeke ahead of Williams, even after the injury. Okeke is bigger, longer, shoots better, has some ability to play on the ball, and can guard 2 or 3 positions. I just don't want to wait a year for him to recover.

Just 17 days to the draft. Seems like the mock boards are all over the place this year. Maybe its just my perception? Or did the late withdraw deadline impact all the mocks?

I'm anxious to see Jazzfanz favorite players and draft predictions this year. It feels like many folks have already written off the pick, figuring it will be traded I guess.
