For the Pearl: The Crossover

...the crossover is only "lethal" because it's illegal by the letter of the law. It's basically a flagrant palming of the ball.....and should have been deep-sixed the first time Earl "the Pearl" Monroe tried to bring it into the league back in the early 70's. For those unfamiliar with Earl "the Pearl" Monroe and the beginning of the so called "lethal" crossover move, I've found a video for you....that contains about 20 of them!

....give me footage of Magic and Bird....Stockton and Malone. But the present slop they call the NBA? Burn it...then burn the ashes!

....he's forced to endorse it now....he works for ESPN! Besides, if the refs are going to let you cheat and break the rules with impunity....why not do it! Doesn't make it watchable basketball, which was the point I was making! Passing, pick and rolling, screening is a thing of beauty! Cross over dribbles? Puke.

Did you miss the part where they talked about Stockton doing the cross-over?

I thought he was basically basketball Jesus to you.

.....obviously, if they are going to allow everyone else to palm the ball....Stockton is no dummy! But as you are aware of, he never abused that break.....he still concentrated on setting up teammates, rather than scoring. No, he's not my basketball "idol" by any means.....he just has 2 all-time NBA records that will never be broken....steals and assists. He was fun to watch....like a surgeon on the court....him and Malone!

I know you know this, but it's pointless to argue with CJ. Just give up your lawyering for today and leave the poor old man alone. He's senile and delusional.
