For those of you BYU pukes cheering Jimmer...

But, I cheered MORE when Burks did that put back dunk and Jimmer air-balled the final shot. Jimmer getting blocked by Millsap was enjoyable as well.

As a Ute fan, I can honestly say that I have NEVER cheered any of the following when they've faced the Jazz: Tom Chambers, KVH, Andre Milller, Bogut, Doleac, or any other Ute. I've always rooted for those guys to have successful NBA careers, but when it comes to games against Utah, I hope the Jazz kick their asses each and every time they face off.

Their are fans out there that believe that since they payed for the ticket, they can act however they want. While that might be technically correct, I would never subscribe to that theory because I think anybody who acts like that is pretty much a jackass.

In short: If you consider yourself and honest-to-goodness Jazz fan, and you were at the ESA last night cheering Jimmer, than you my friend are a douchebag.

I hate this states fans... Half of them are clueless and the other half are worse...

Okay I broke down and read this thread. I admit I am not LDS, I am a non-denominational Christian, however. Having said that, I have business partners and friends that are LDS. I admit that I don't share the same spiritual beliefs, I even believe some of what they believe is downright kooky. They are, however, some of the most respected people I know. Some of the most 'deserving' of eternal life.

I have not felt compelled by God to attempt to have them denounce their religion, but if I did, I'm quite certain God wouldn't direct me to do so by attacking their spiritual belief system on an internet sports message board. I would urge you, OP, to inquire with your pastor as to whether your actions here are in line with your doctrine, whatever it may be.

Gosh Jazz Fans are the best in the world but why can't we like a local player? I love the jazz and their fans but most on this board are just arrogant haters using the anonymity of the internet...

Great Game last night though, I was there. I cheered for Jimmer, but cheered louder for CJ's steal and Alec Burks put back.

Gosh and everyone just circle jerk hates on mormons too, I mean cmon they are decent people and while i may not agree with them quit hating. I hate haters.

Sigh...you make it really hard for me to hate you. You don't know how much it goes against me to like a Kentucky fan. I agree with your views, I'd like to talk with you about them someday.
 
LOL @ Duck who gave props to BYU fans who packed the Marriott Center on a night when Jimmer was playing in SLC. They watched their team get their asses kicked, littered the court with trash and acted like total D-Bags. Obviously they deserve major props. Stay classy Provo. Also, I actually respect Dave Rose quite a bit, but why didn't he grab a mic and ask the fans to stop? Isn't that pretty much normal protocal in that situation?

Also, props to to Thriller for indirectly blaming the officials for a 14 point loss in a game where BYU actually spent a good amount of time down even bigger during the game. I guess the refs blew the call on the final 15 point shot BYU had to win the game?

Man, I would try not to hate everything BYU but they make it SO EASY!
