Forget the poll - Jazz just DID sign Raja Bell

I don't know what to think, Raja Bell is 33(will be 34 in September) and hasn't played a lot of basketball lately. is he really worth a 3 year deal? Doesn't appear we got a discount on him(Lakers only offered him 1.8 mill)

Being a vegetarian might actually prolong his career, much healthier,

I know Ricky Williams and Tony Gonzalelz are both vegatarians and they both have had long careers in the NFL.
 
I like this pick up a lot. Bell is a good leader who plays defense, shoots the 3, and competes. Bell won't be the guy that hold this team back.

I'm a lover not a fighter, but I did win the only fight I was in in high school. I broke his glasses and gave him a bloody nose...although he was all tweaked out.
 
Can't argue with the move. Bell is probably not the defender he was at 28, but 3 point shooting is what we need with Korver gone and Bell is an assassin.
 
This is a great move for the Jazz. Think about this: Chicago, LA, and Miami all wanted Raja. LeBron called him, Kobe invited him over. We didn't sign some chopped liver here. We signed a guy championship caliber teams want to have on their roster. Raja is turning 34 later in the year, and will be 36 when contract is over with. So, that 3d year is not ideal, but let's face it, if we wanted him on the Jazz, that's what it would take. And it is still 29% of Matthews deal, and I am really not sure who will do better in the next 3 years - Bell or Matthews. This remains to be seen. I was actually thinking of Matthews as having Raja Bell type of potential (but not there yet). And we actually got Raja. He brings defense, he brings good shooting, 3 point range, and he knows our system already. Age is the only concern, but he was going pretty strong last year before wrist injury, and he is healthy now, and wanted by many. This is probably the best signing we could have made for MLE to replace Wes.
 
This is a great move. Gives us a 3 point shooter and a vet leader type with some nastiness in him, we needed that. Deron's team, but Raja will set the tone defensively. I loved Wes, but this should work out well.

Im hoping he punches Kobe in the face if we play them again in playoffs.
