Marc Stein: Source close to process says Portland & Charlotte have indeed told Brook Lopez they're ready to sign him today to four-year max offer sheet. It looks like Lopez is Portland's (and apparently Charlotte's) next target. It makes sense that the Nets want to have their involvement in any Dwight Howard deal resolved today. I'm guessing Lopez just ends up re-signing with the Nets.

Brook Lopez to re-sign with the Nets. 4 years, $61m. Dallas to sign Kaman. 1 year, $8m. I'd have to expect Portland to make a run at McGee now.
Mavs to use amnesty clause on Brendan Haywood. Wolves and Blazers are talking about a sign-and-trade for Batum. If the s&t doesn't work the Wolves will sign him to an offer sheet tonight.

Feels good to only have FA we don't want and watch everybody else Portland each other. Now that Evans is signed anyways.
Houston really wants Howard. They're looking at using the amnesty clause on Scola to get cap space.
JJ Hickson agrees to a 1-year deal with Portland for $4m. I'm kind of surprised he didn't end up with GS, since they were planning to sign him last season had he cleared waivers after being waived by the Kings.
FWIW, Elton Brand hopes Dallas puts in the winning bid to get him from the amnesty waiver wire.
The Wolves will amnesty Darko to sign Batum to an offer sheet of 4 years, $45 million that could be $50 million with bonuses. I'm sure Darko will have no trouble clearing the waiver wire. He may have trouble if he wants to sign with anyone for more than the minimum.

I think Darko would make a good fourth big on a team.
Maybe at an absolute minimum salary. I don't even think he played much if at all when Kevin Love was out with a concussion and Pekovic was out with his ankle problems. Ramon Sessions and the Bobcats have reached an agreement. I haven't seen anything about length or dollars though. It's expected to be finalized tomorrow.
