You may be thinking of Wilson Chandler who doesn't have an opt-out in his Chinese-league deal.

Earl Watson is a so-so backup? WTF are you talking about? Earl Watson was the best backup PG the Jazz have had since Stockton was backing up Green. The Jazz need a guard who can actually play like a guard. Seriously. They have to be looking to improve their backcourt. They practically don't have one. Harris isn't super durable and plays like a combo. Price is lucky to be in the league. Earl Watson is a so-so back-up.
Where's the list of current FAs ?
I will get destroyed for this, but why not keep Okur let him expire, and spend the money next year when we have roster spots open, and see what the young guys can do now, or if he proves he's healthy resign him cheap and still have money to spend.

Thats what I've wanted from the start.
True centers are the hardest thing to find in the NBA right now. I am thinking if you could offer him 12 to 13 million a year that you might just get him. That to me is not a bad contract to have even under the new CBA.

I know this is a free agency thread, but, I think Okur for Farmar and Petro and a draft pick of some sort makes sense. I like Farmar, I think he'd be an excellent option as a backup PG, able to start in a pinch. Why would NJ do this? They clear cap space for a Dwight Howard run.
Worst idea I've seen in this thread. Farmer makes 4M this year and 4.25 next year.
