Not True. You are mistaken.

Showing a straight line dribble doesn't really show anything..........lol

The point I am making is you can't depend on him to dribble through traffic and break down the defense.
Barely being able to dribble is a for sure an exaggeration. But on contrast with other wing players. He doesn't do that well.

And lets just say he is amazing at that. Which I have seen him lose the ball a lot through traffic.

The fact is he can't shoot. and he is not strong enough and he doesn't have any post moves.
He won't be in the league much longer if he never gets a shot.

Is Tomic coming over? What's the word on that? If not, I sort of like Cy's call on Ayon. My problem with that though is he reminds me of Gobert and I want Gobert getting burn, preferably 20 minutes a night, and I think the minutes would get tricky for our bigs then.

Favors (32), Kanter (28), Gobert (20), Novak (16) is already 96 minutes so I'm just not sure where Ayon would fit in but I do like him.

Right now, if we do match on Hayward, I'm curious where we, as members, then see our biggest holes?

The Jazz are likely waiting on Hayward to be resolved before announcing anything. They want to use that big pool of cash to discourage suitors.

Why do I keep hearing people post about Aminu. The guy sucks. He can barely dribble and he cannot shoot. No post moves. No play making ability. He is long and can rebound well for the SF position. THAT IS IT. He is pathetic at the 3 and the 4. If he could shoot. He could be effective at the 3 or the 4. But he hasn't improved ANYTHING in his game since coming to the league. Give up on the dude. He sucks.

All true. He really isn't very good and is one dimensional.

Your claim that he cant dribble is baseless though, hes not a 1 trick pony. he's plenty capable of grabbing a rebound and dribbling it up the floor.

His Turnovers went down this year, he has a positive Ast/To Ratio. Hes going to get paid a pittance and he'd be our best option defensively vs many matchups.

The Jazz were defending Kevin Durant with Mike Harris at the start of last season. IDK why anyone would complain about Aminu, what are the better low cost defensive options at SF ?

I don't know why people don't understand the value in getting Aminu. There was just a 15+ page thread about Novak, for ****'s sake... do you think there is a bigger one-trick pony in the NBA than Novak? Do you realize that Aminu will command roughly the same number of dollars? Do you understand that he helps us in our area of greatest need?

What the **** am I missing??

Your meds? ;)

I think we'll be in WAITONHAYWARD mode before anything else gets done that ties up cash...

With the trade for Novak, I think Utah is out of the Ryan Kelly pursuit. While Kelly's defensive skills are WAY better, offensively there is too much overlap.

I am not a big Aminu fan based on his offensive inadequacies but if I'm being honest, I haven't seen him play much and really don't know much about him other than what PGAB and [sized] have been preaching. If he is cheap and is as good as they're advertising on defense, he probably makes a lot of sense.

Off the cuff, an Exum, Burks, Aminu, Novak, Gobert lineup would be interesting. Exum and Burks penetrating like crazy drawing defenders, Novak standing in the corner for the open-three, finding Aminu cutting where I would think based on his athleticism he could flourish (does he?) like Brewer did here...defensively, as bad as Novak is, we'd have four capable defenders on the floor with him, Aminu defending the best offensive wing and Gobert always behind him as a last defense.

In short, he offers us something we don't yet have (a defensive stopper) and on the cheap. This added roster flexibility is intriguing if I'm Quin. And maybe, just maybe, Quin could get more out of him (better shooting) and he could become our James Posey on the Heat and Celtics runs.

**** it. Aminu or bust!

Aminu's plenty athletic for finishing in transition and as a slasher. hes grown since he was drafted too, these days hes basically the same height/wingspan as Favors.
