Free Alec Burks

The trouble is that neither Foye or Burks seems comfortable running the offense, at least not yet. Maybe when that happens, Foye will just play the point and Burks will get his minutes at SG.

This. If Foye or Burks can get to the point of being able to run the offense at least fairly well that would go a long ways to Burks getting more minutes.

At this point, Foye>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.Burks at running an NBA offense. Burks is not even in the point guard conversation outside dreamy eyed homers on jazzfanz.

Quick, someone find a highlight of Burks showing anything besides Burks shooting. See you next season.

Burks makes most sense at PG:

2012-13 Season Per/36 stats:
Points: 0
FG%: N/A
3P%: N/A
Reb: 0
Ast: 15.9
PF: 0

Looks like a prototypical "pass-first" kind of guy. As a bonus, he stays out of foul trouble.

I think Kosta Koufous would have have an appropriate response to this post.

As per usual, I disagree with Franklin. I would rather see Burks taking shots at the rim, as opposed to having Foye chuck up stupid shots for 2 quarters..... thank God for Marvin cleaning up his crap.

It's not very hard to find Burks highlights of him doing things other than shooting, as I'm sure everyone has seen Prodigy's Burks mix on youtube.

Quick! Someone find some highlights of Foye doing anything other than chucking up the ball, and sometimes going in the basket.

I see your point, and I agree that foye fits better in an NBA offense at this point mostly due to his experience.
Two things though
1. People would be hard pressed to find any highlight videos of players w/out them shooting because that is what most highlight videos show. Unless they are Chris Paul, d-will type. Plus, burks doesn't have an insane amount of minutes played in the NBA to begin with, so it would be tough for him to meet your required amount of passing highlights anyways
2. Burks athletic ability and potential>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> foye's
Think that is why people like him. Plus he's probably 21 years old at the most (Idk of the top of my head) and I can think of three guards off the top of my head who are athletic as he is. D wade, d rose, and Westbrook.

Step away from the ledge people.

Take a few moments to breathe, and think, and come to the conclusion that you know nothing.

Okay... now don't we feel better about things?

Willfully ignoring the Gerald Green types?

No in fact I wanted one so that frankfag wouldn't jump all over me for saying those three. Just couldn't think of him off the top of my head. That would be a burks worst case scenario

I don't disagree.

Here's how things go around here every single year. 1. Jazz win more games than losing. 2. It's coaches fault something something fire Corbin something play young guys something something win championship if Favors got 59 minutes per night.

This is an NBA organization with an NBA coach who sees these guys in practice every single day. If he's not playing Burks then Burks has not earned it yet. Burks will play enough when he is ready.
