Typical Ty, just shrugging the game off:

"We got into their style of play. We didn't play our best basketball," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "It's a tough loss. We hate that we lost the ballgame, but we've got six games left, so we've got to get a new streak."

Uh oh. #1 reason why Ty needs to be fired ASAP? His mentality is spreading:

"It's one game. I think we realize that and we've got to stay optimistic here," Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward said. "We had a pretty good streak, so now we can start over and get on a new one."

Woooooowww....

"We just won five games in a row. I hope you guys weren't expecting us to go 11-0," Jazz point guard Mo Williams said. "That'd be great, but at the same time we're not going to win every game.

Ummmm double wow:
"I think they have seen us play well and they know how we can play," Hayward said. "So they probably expect that."

Gotta love Karl:

"I think it is a solid win for us in a race that is probably going to go down to the last week," said Denver coach George Karl said, whose team is duking it out with the Grizzlies and Clippers for the 3-5 spots.
"In a way, I hate helping the Lakers, but now maybe they can help us. They have Memphis and the Clippers the next two games."

I love that he'll just come out and say that. I can't imagine anyone in the Jazz organization other than players who would ever say anything like that.

I don't understand your problem with what Ty said.

To me he's saying they sucked tonight. We need to put this game out of our minds and win the next one, because we are still in the hunt. He's not saying "whooptydo we lost so what." Sounds like to me his message is "forget this game because now we really need to concentrate on winning the next game if we want to make the playoffs."

Totally agree.

Having a real coach is so greatly missed. Ty is more fake than a cheerleader. Karl just tellin it the way it is.

Wow, those quote from Mo and Ty are bad. Not the kind of mentality that I want around. I'd rather have someone who publicly calls out his players efforts and pulls them from the court when they suck or are not trying.

The problem I have with his attitude is that not only does he wipe out a loss from his memory but also any valuable lessons that could have been learned from that loss. Most people LEARN from their mistakes, Ty doesn't...at least from what we've seen over the past 2.5 seasons.

I like when players and coaches are able to put a loss behind them. Would we prefer they moaned about publicly? I think you're off your rocker if you over-interpret what any athlete says to the stupid-*** media.

If I were in their shoes I'd probably say something like. "Yeah, it sucks, we want to win and we didn't. We gotta get over it and get ready for the next game. There's nothing we can do about it now. So, do you have your soundbite? Can I stop wasting my time with you asshats with microphones all in my face? Thanks."

Being critical of Ty or Mo for these comments is ludicrous and reflects people looking for things to critique. At this point the only way to deal with this is push forward to the next game and stay upbeat. Obviously a bad loss but not time to mope or call people out in public. Ty learned this from Sloan - play forward

Pretty much these two comments. Criticize his rotations all you want, but nitpicking these post-game comments is just grasping at straws.

The Jazz have only lost "one game" 37 times this year...not everyone can care as much as the Heat do about trying to win and believing they can win every game. ...Bluh... That makes me sick just typing that.

I'm with NAOS, Thee, gomretat, and Cyrone. I don't think what they said is a big deal, and is putting it behind them so they can focus on the next game.

I don't have a problem with that mentality.

If they didn't care that they lost would be different, but I didn't get that out of it.

Are you sure you want to connected to those other posters?

Ty's comments were expected and not noteworthy. Mo's comments, however, reflect a player that accepts no responsibility for 2-12 shooting and poor pg play.

If you agree with this, then you are enablers. Enabling a mentality of losing, enabling a mentality that doesn't acknowledge accountability, enabling Ty's inability or refusal to learn from his mistakes (he keeps repeating them over and over again), enabling Jazz mediocrity. The Jazz will never be more than also rans with accepting losses, that it's only one game.

I hate the "its just one game quote" makes me so mad. what kind of mentality is that.. only losers say they dont mind losing.. gosh.. i hate corbin and al. the worst part is all the young jazz men our like flowers. so they take in the **** they are being watered.. ruin jazz players anyone?

I think some people like complaining and the only way they are happy is if they are unhappy and complaining and so are looking way to hard into those quotes. Sure make fun of him because he said just one game a lot but wow.

Or maybe Corbin is the ultimate players coach genius, he has purposely drove some of you so crazy and deflected so much attention it has distracted people from other issues with players and FO you guys are honing in on him right down to these quotes. So the players can play free while he burdens the majority of the negativity.

I mean it's not like when Sloan was coach there was non stop bashing and complaining how overrated, ridged, overbearing, negative, uncompromising out of touch coach. No one eeeeevvvvveerr eeevvveeerr did that did they? Despite he just had decades of winning and 2 trips to the finals.

*edit, my point was people will see or hear whatever it is they are looking for and I think there seems to be a lot of emo going on around here. Personally what I got outside of the normal post game "coach speak" drivel is that the players and coaches are either 3 sheets to the wind or saying they make your granddad's clothes look incredible.*

That is the one quote that I find concerning. That type of statement comes off as a losers mentality to me.
