Future Jazz Starting 5??????

Where did you play? When? Where did you coach? When?

Just have to take my word for it, or feel free to ask me basketball questions. I would never give personal information on a forum. Not with guys like Tyrone looking to give me a hard time. It was way back when. I am part of the retiree crowd now.

So a 11-13 year old church league then. Cool.

No way Burks is a starting point guard in the NBA. Our future starting PG probably is not with the team yet.

1 more point it is Alec like Alec Baldwin not Alex I made the same mistake. If you want size trade millsap to atl for Josh smith at 6-9 he is your starting sf

The Champions this year didn't start their best 5. Neither did the Thunder.
Great point. That's why jazzrule doesn't have CJ on his list. The Jazz' best player is coming off the bench to provide veteran leadership ;-)

Seriously, you are right. A lot of teams will have 4 starters and a short minutes guy to start the game. Then their 6th man comes off the bench midway through the 1st period and gets the same amount of PT as the other 4 starters.

I don't see Burks as an NBA PG, at least not a starting one. Yes, we've heard he's a good ball handler, but the same has been said of Brewer, CJ and Hayward. None of those 3 can match up against the better PG's in the league. Burks might be a starter, or he may be the 6th man we've been looking for - a guy who can provide offensive spark off the bench.

I also wouldn't count on getting a starter in the draft next season. Jazz could very well make the playoffs and lose their pick to Minnesota. And the GS pick is protected. Either way, I think our pick(s) will be late lottery, probably out of the Top 10. Who knows, though, KOC looks like he's found gold in both Hayward and Burks, although it's still a bit too early to declare success with either of those two picks. Let's see if Gordon can maintain his late season stats over the course of a full year and if Burks is as good as advertised.

LOL yeah right. Funny! This is exactly why I would not share anything with you bozos Hobo, but I will tell you this much I coached for 8 years and I got paid for it with money. You ever been paid to coach?

Your posts really aren't written like you would think a 'near retiree' would write. That's okay, I guess, you just sound to be around late teens. No need to respond, just an observation.

Take your observation and stick it where the sun don't shine. You sir are not from Kentucky. Men are raised there to be gentlemen, and you sir are definitely not that.
And improve your reading comphrension, I never said near retirement. I have been retired 6 years and live in the Philippines. No need to respond you have proven what you are.

It makes sense now. Everyone in the Philippines in really short, so when he was able to get a tall guy on his team, his team dominated. Thus his obsession with height began.
